The formulas for attack and defense in this game heavily favor attack. 1 point of Strength or Magic provides 2 points of Attack or Magic Attack, whereas 1 point of Vitality or Spirit provides 1 point of Defense or Magic Defense. Then on top of that Attack is doubled in the damage formula before Defense is accounted for. Making the offensive stats 4 times as effective as defensive stats. Therefore I also improved all the defensive nodes.
All the changes:
- DEF: 2x (example: before it was DEF+8 with this mod it will be DEF+16)
- M.DEF: 2x
- ATT with high HP: 2x
- M.ATT with high HP: 2x
- DEF with high HP: 4x
- M.DEF with high HP: 4x
- ATT with low HP: 2x
- M.ATT with low HP: 2x
- DEF with low HP: 4x
- M.DEF with low HP: 4x
- Buff duration: 2x (10% -> 20% so the buff duration gets multiplied by 1.2 instead of 1.1)
- Debuff duration: 2x (10% -> 20%)
- MP regen small: 10% -> 20%
- MP regen big: 50% -> 70%
the default MP regen rate is 1MP/20sec -> 3mp/min
with 10% buff it was 1MP/(20*(100%-10%))sec -> 1MP/18sec -> 3.33mp/min
new with 20% buff it is 1MP/16sec -> 3.75mp/min
so with the buff it becomes at least noticeable that you regain more mp
the big 50% buff 1MP/10sec -> 6MP/min
new with 70% buff 1MP/6sec -> 10MP/min
here it nearly doubles the mp regeneration, but it's still balanced.You still spend a lot more mp on spells that you get back by regeneration.
