This mod was installed correctly. However, I did find the cause. The standalone weapon replacer from this mod for Aerith is conflicting, which probably means that mod contains leftover bloat files the author forgot to remove. I'll try having this mod load after to see if that allows both to work.
UPDATE: Allowing your mod to load after the conflicting weapon still results in a missing texture for Zantetsuken over Sleek Saber. I guess I'll just move the other mod to my backup folder for now.
Ah, sorry you're having trouble. I'll see if I can find the conflict between the 2 mods. You can also try making a LogicMods folder (next to your ~mods folder) and place the sword files in there. The game will load ~mods first and then LogicMods and that might work. Sometimes load order within the same folder can have problems.
Interesting. I'll do more testing very soon on my end, including the LogicMods suggestion you gave me.
UPDATE: Yeah, I just tried with a fresh install + FFVIIHook, FFVIIRebirthFix, a custom engine.ini, and the two conflicting mods in the ~mods folder. I still have a missing texture.
This gets even more ridiculous the more I test. Right now it's a fresh install with just the conflicting mods. They work fine now. However, in every UE game I've ever modded, I rename modded pak files for both load order and organization purposes. This has never given me issues on any game. Now however, it has. Even stranger, renaming the files for your mod does not cause a missing texture. It's renaming the pak files for the Ultima Staff that's causing the missing texture for Zantetsuken.
I will update momentarily showing images with examples.
UPDATE:
Having your mod's file names unmodified, and the staff's files renamed also gave a missing texture.
FINAL UPDATE: I tried putting your files in the LogicMods folder. That caused a fatal error on boot. I'll be leaving the Ultima Staff in the backburner unless something changes on your end, and enjoy your mod while I play.
I just tried the newest update to check compatibility with the Ultima Staff. There are no more missing textures. Now it just crashes instead. I'll summarize my testing using bullet points.
- Your mod works as intended when it's installed alone (default + modified file names) - Ultima Staff works as intended when it's installed alone (default + modified file names) - Running both mods together causes a fatal error when highlighting the Ultima Staff in the weapon screen (default file names) - Running both mods together causes a fatal error on loading save (modified Ultima Staff file names) - This is only a problem with Zantetsuken over Sleek Saber. All other versions of your mod work perfectly with Ultima Staff.
Thanks for trying so many combinations. Could I ask you to try the Sleek Saber replacer one more time, but delete the Mat files and see what happens? No worries if you can't, I'll try it myself later when I'm back at the computer.
Thank you so much for this mod! I fought Odin to unlock his materia and then installed this mod to overwrite the Igneous sword since I was getting tired of looking at that model. Then I got to use this beautiful sword in the 1v1 fight with Rufus, and I summoned Odin to help me kick Rufus's ass. Very awesome and satisfying! I wish I could've gotten some screenshots to upload here but I play on an HDR TV and my screenshots are always destroyed by oversaturation.
i started getting it too, after deleting the mod all went back to normal it happens before the game even fully launches as soon as it turns to full screen

The Sleek Saber version has no texture though, so that'll need to be looked at.

When the fatal error pops up again, go to Notepad and paste your clipboard (just ctrl + v). Does it say anything specific?
Does your error occur at the main menu/in-game or is it happening before the game even fully launches (still a small window before maximizing)?
