What is it?
It's texture packs that are scaled down with a good algorithm to preserve as much detail as possible.

Modular?
Things are separated how SE had them originally and separated into "Stages".

Stages?
Stage 1 = 1536px (Vanilla was 2048)
Stage 2 =768px (Vanilla was 1024)
Stage 3 = 384px (Vanilla was 512)
Stage 4 = 192px (Vanilla was 256)
Stage 5 = 96px (Vanilla was 128)
Emissives are separated to avoid potential issues (Consider them beta, report if working/broken please)

Now they're 75% of the original size.

Benefits?
More overhead. Depending how much you apply, you'll see quicker loading, less pop-in, less strain on hardware. UE still scales on it's own regardless, however it still has to load up those textures and this aims to help out on the pre-load side.

What's the catch?
None... maybe. If you're on lower resolutions you probably won't notice anything. Since it's modular you can pick and choose which things you would like to keep nicer. This is more aggressive so results will vary.

Why does it exist?
I made this for me and my project to get this game working well on Steam Deck. Rather than doing one big package specifically for that device I went this route so it's easier for me to optimize on another device.

Why share it?
Someone, somewhere is likely getting some headaches trying to push their luck with engine tweaks. This seemed like a logical thing to share. Whether it's someone just trying to play the game, or make their own optimization ini, it's out there for anyone to point to say "Use X, Y , and Z from MPT plus this other thing".

Installation
Just extract and place the parts you want into your ~mods folder, everything should work fine if you want it in an "MPT" folder or whatever you wish.
