About this mod

The icons in the PC version of 7 look super pixellated these days. You want an icon replacer, but with the feel of the originals? Replace that 90's Compression c%&* with crisp scans of the classics!

Classic Final Fantasy VII is awesome on PC
We all know it. The game has aged well, and outside of the graphics could easily have been released in the past few years.
Heck, even with those graphics. Let's face it- no one complains about Minecraft's blocky models, and they're even lower poly.

I've downloaded models and fields and UI, but...
You've got the -let's face it- totally awesome Ninostyle models for the field and battle, maybe got a smooth and pretty UI mod to go with it, but something's missing.
Oh, it's the pixellated, blocky character portraits!
Seriously, way to bring down the mood, 90's compression.

What can we do?
Well, before you'd have to settle for a mod that replaces them with cool 3D CGI shots from the movies, remake, and just people working hard.
But let's face it- No matter how cool they are, that pre-belts Nomura style is what we all remember, and brings back that nostalgia...

FFVII Avatars like they were meant to be
I've gone through the files and created a Seventh Heaven mod file that replaces those pixellated images with fresh, clear, crisp scans and AI upscalings of that art. Now you can play with those classic portraits.

You can also choose, using 7th Heaven, to have Young Cloud or classic Cloud as his main icon. Both are cute. Cloud is cute. We all know this.

It's odd that Cloud has a blue shirt...

Right? The original avatar artwork has a Cloud with a very different colourscheme to his canon and younger self.
So I've included a Colour Corrected version. This one has been corrected to more closely resemble his main concept art (And younger self) in colour scheme. Activate in the Seventh Heaven manager if you like it.

How To Install
Use Seventh Heaven Mod Manager. As long as you have the PC version (Which is available on Steam and from the store), you can follow the instructions on that page to just double click and put them in. Plus, it makes switching versions or even choosing instead to use those cool 3d CGI portraits that much easier.
Checked out the Tsunamods ones? They're pretty epic.
but this mod is all about that classic feel.
