This mod overhauls the visuals of the opening credits sequence. It incorporates a darker and more vibrant art style. Using a mixture of edited assets taken from the Pixel Remaster as well as new sprites by AceroSteel.

This is a visual enhancement mod for the opening credits sequence where the Imperial Mechs are approaching Narshe. The end result is a darker scene with more detail added to the environment (compared with the bright white the game normally uses). The background and parts of the foreground are adapted from the assets found in the Pixel Remaster. However, AceroSteel was kind enough to redraw parts of the foreground to uses higher res mountain textures. He also provided new mech sprites based on the Amano artwork. I will also include color corrected variants of the normal mech sprites for those who prefer those.
As with many other mods for this version of the game, you will need to use the FFVI_Explorer Tool to enable modding mode for the game. If the obb folder found in your game's directory has 14 other folders inside it, you're already good to go. Just open one of the two included folders with the sprite style you desire and drag the obb file into the game's root directory. Overwrite anything it asks about.
