Changelogs
Version 1.0
Initial version.
This is a Magicite mod that restores the ability of the starting class, the Knight, and the Scholar to use magic that was introduced in the Nintendo DS/3D remake version. (In this case, the Freelancer magical ability went to the Onion Knight.) Specifically, it allows Onion Knights to cast level 1 Black and White Magic, Knights to cast level 1 White Magic, and Scholars to cast level 1-3 Black and White Magic. It adds these abilities in addition to their base Pixel Remaster abilities (Guard for Knight and Study/Alchemy for Scholar). It adds spell charges for levels 1-3 accurate to the DS version, but it doesn't make any other changes to the vanilla PR stats for these jobs (such as increasing magic power).
You will want to make sure to change any characters out of Onion Knight, Knight, or Scholar class before installing the mod. If you install the mod with those characters already using the vanilla versions of the jobs, the game may have issues with properly removing/adding abilities. Similarly, if you choose to uninstall the mod, you'll want to move any characters out of the mod-changed classes first; otherwise they won't automatically remove the Magic command when changing jobs, and you'll have an unusable Magic command.
Note: This is not compatible with my White Magic for Ranger and Dark Knight mod.
