Hello, I greatly appreciate that you made this mod in the first place as I've always liked the previous designs of Greatswords shown off in the earlier versions of the game. The model looks good in the screenshots however, for some reason I can't get the mod to work in the steam version of the game. It shows up in the models tab of the mod menu in-game, but when I turn it on the model still doesn't swap out for force stealer II or force stealer+. I haven't personally used the mod manager so I could be completely wrong on this one, though I'd like to say it anyways as it could be a solution. It seems that every other great sword weapon or model in the game is labeled as large_sword in the mod menu in-game. The Force stealer mod however, is labeled as Large Sword in the in-game mod menu. Perhaps changing it to large_sword will fix it, that is, unless I'm a complete moron and installed it the wrong way. Sorry for the large post I'd just like to use this model as it looks well made. Thanks for your hard work and have a good one!
Hi there abstargo, sorry for the late reply, I make all my mods on the origin version of the game but it should work fine with the steam ver. For the steam version of the game, mods outside the workshop usually have to be placed in this directory example: Kermit\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XV\Steam\7655377222959413\mod , the mod folder should have a file named binmod.list in it, thats where you should place your mod. Also your mod should look like this in-game. Hope this helps !
Thank you for the reply Mule43, I've already installed it the way you instructed in the description of the mod page. I attempted installing the mod multiple ways, but unfortunately it still didn't work for some reason. Here are some images of the install that I did to show you https://imgur.com/a/XsbP4nz, if there is anything you can do please let me know. Sorry for the nagging I just want to make sure the mod works for steam users.
Hmmm you seem to have installed it correctly in the first image, my last bet would be that there is another mod interfering, usually when a lot of weapon mods are installed together the models would start to swap incorrectly ,that's all I can think off :( .
I turned off all of my other mods but it still doesn't work :( It's a shame. Thank you for your help though, even if it didn't work out I'm glad you bothered to respond and help. Keep up the good work with your mods and stay safe!
Was really looking forward to a mod like this, but unfortunately it won't work for me either (Steam version). Any chance for some compatibility improvement or adding it to the Steam's workshop? That would be greatly appreciated.
That would be greatly appreciated :) For reference, how difficult is it to make mods like that? Cause they've actually shrunk a bunch of weapons' models. For instance, the avenger sword also used to be much bigger and pronounced in the Episode Duscae build of the game.
Its not difficult at all but it is time consuming to do it as I will need a reference image of the original weapon hilt design to enlarge the current design accordingly. Not sure if this made sense...XD
Umm did you find the problem yet? the mod isnt working for me too im using steam ver would there be a difference if you posted in the steam workshop instead?
Have you looked into the demo of FF15? I'm not sure if these are just icons but it has a couple of weapons that are different compared to the final game.
