The Insurgent's Thrifty Bazaar

Description

The Bazaar is a special shop that offers exclusive goods based on the loot sold to merchants. Each bazaar good can require up to 3 ingredients to unlock. Once all its ingredients are sold, it will become available at any shop.

Ingredients do not need to be sold at the same time, as the game keeps track of the count (up to 255). Once a bazaar good is purchased, the sold count of all its ingredients are set to 0. This feature is known as the Bazaar glitch and has its pros and cons.

Let's say there are 2 bazaar goods that require the same ingredient. The first one requires 2 Wolf Pelts where as the second one requires 4. Now if 2 Wolf Pelts are sold, the first bazaar good will become available. If it's purchased, then the second bazaar good will still require 4 Wolf Pelts instead of 2 as the count of sold Wolf Pelts was set to 0.

To acquire both bazaar goods at the same time without wasting any ingredients, all 4 Wolf Pelts must be sold before purchasing the first bazaar good. However, keeping track of which ingredients have already been sold can be rather bothersome.

Features

This mod allows to sell loot for bazaar goods without wasting any.

Purchasing a bazaar good will reduce the sold count of all its ingredients instead of setting it to 0. If the bazaar good is repeatable, it will only be removed from the available list if its sold loot requirement is no longer met. What this means with the above example in mind:

If 6 Wolf Pelts are sold, both bazaar goods will become available as one requires 2 and the other 4. Purchasing the first one will not remove it from the available list as the sold count of its ingredient will only be reduced from 6 to 4 which still meets the requirement. However, if it's purchased for a second time, the second bazaar good will no longer be available until 2 or more Wolf Pelts are sold again.

This way, it's no longer possible to acquire both bazaar goods with only 4 Wolf Pelts. On the other hand, a bazaar good can now be purchased multiple times without the need for a constant back-and-forth (sell loot, buy bazaar good, repeat). Furthermore, there is no longer a need to keep track of which ingredients have been sold previously as none of it is wasted once a bazaar good is purchased.
