This is a proper remaster of FF XII.
The problem:
- most of textures from remaster by Square Enix are upscaled without added detail, with added blurriness and artifacts
- many face textures have only higher quality hair, leaving face pixelated
The solution:
- different ESRGAN models used for upscale depending on texture type
- most of textures downscaled to eliminate blurry artifacts of Square Enix remaster and then properly upscaled with AI
- some superior textures from PS2 game version were upscaled
- many environment textures have added detail
- vanilla texture style preserved
It may take a while to unpack. 10 GB archive, 30 GB unpacked.
