Change in initial and final statistics! All characters start with only 10 in Strength, Vitality and Magic but keeping speed almost unchanged and no stat reaches more than 65 at LV99!
In the original gameplay and even in Zodiac Job and Zodiac Age the characters get very strong around level 60 making it particularly easy to play even without equipments!

  • FLYMSY BLADE (SWORD THAT WASN'T ACCESSIBLE BEFORE) RELEASED WITH LICENSE 03 SWORD AND BUYABLE IN GIZA PLAINS FOR 1500 (SOLD IN PLACE OF AMMUNITION)
  • HEROS BLADE (SWORD THAT WASN'T ACCESSIBLE BEFORE) RELEASED WITH LICENSE 03 SWORD AND BUYABLE IN GIZA PLAINS FOR 1500 (COMBO RATE DECREASED FROM 100 TO 20)
  • JOYEUSE BLADE (SWORD THAT WASN'T ACCESSIBLE BEFORE) RELEASED WITH LICENSE 03 SWORD AND BUYABLE IN GIZA PLAINS FOR 1500

  • ALL START WITH LIBRA (STARTING WITH THIS SKILL HELPS NAVIGATE THE NEW UNIQUE BOARD)
    All Jobs have access to First Aid (Not very useful in the middle of battle but it helps to save MP and Potions)
  • BASCH, THE PRISONER, STARTS WITH HASTE, REGEN, AND PROTECT (THIS IS ONLY A PROLOGUE BEFORE HE PERMANENTLY JOINS THE GROUP)
  • FIRST AID HAS AN IMPROVED FORMULA AND IS MORE USEFUL (IT WILL HEAL EVEN WHEN NOT IN CRITICAL HP)
  • FLARE NOW DEALS AREA DAMAGE (I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS A WASTE OF ANIMATION TO HIT ONLY 1 ENEMY)
  • DECOY NOW NEVER FAILS (IT MADE NO SENSE FOR IT TO FAIL)
THE TECHNIQUES BELOW NOW UNLOCK A SPECIFIC SELECTION OF SPELLS (TO SERVE THE JOB RED MAGE)
NUMEROLOGY AND HOROLOGY WERE PRACTICALLY USELESS!
SHADES OF BLACK WERE VERY STRONG AND BROKE THE GAME!
  • SHADES OF BLACK - (BLACK AND DARK) DARK, BLIND, SILENCE, SLEEP, POISON, BLINDGA, SILENCEGA, SLEEPGA
  • NUMEROLOGY - (WHITE MAGICK) CURE, CURA, PROTECT, SHELL, REGEN, RISE, PROTECTGA, SHELLGA
  • HOROLOGY - (GREEN AND TIME) DECOY, OIL, DRAIN, BUBBLE, SYPHON, DISABLE, IMMOBILIZE, HASTE
    (I intended to change the Skill names to something like White Tome, Black Tome and Red Tome but I couldn't make the change! If anyone wants to help with this I would appreciate it!)
  • ALL MYSTIC ARMOR, STAVES, AND RODS RECEIVED A SMALL BOOST IN MP
  • FINAL ATTACK DAMAGE OF ESPERS INCREASED SLIGHTLY (ESPECIALLY THE EARLIER ONES LIKE BELIAS)
  • AN ADDITIONAL SPELL FOR EACH ESPER (According to your affinities!)
  • ALL WEAPONS AND SUMMONS ARE 10LP MORE EXPENSIVE WITH SOME EXCEPTIONS
  • ALL ARMORS AND ACCESSORIES ARE 5 LP MORE EXPENSIVE
    CHANGES ON THE BOARD
    • BOARDS WITH ALL LICENSES AND PATHS BLOCKED BY QUICKENINGS
    • INITIAL EQUIPMENT (LICENSES 01) UNLOCKED AND MORE POWERFUL EQUIPMENT BLOCKED BY QUICKENINGS
    • ALL JOBS SHARE THE SAME QUICKENING LICENSE SO ON THE SECOND BOARD, THE PATH OF THE NEW JOB WILL BE UNLOCKED WHILE JOBS THAT ARE NOT FROM THE SELECTED BOARD WILL BE BLOCKED!
    • JOBS KEPT WITH THE SELECTED JOB'S QUICKENING ARE CHEAPER
    • 3 POSSIBLE PATHS IN THE FIRST BOARD AND ONE MORE PATH UNLOCKED WHEN ACCESSING THE SECOND BOARD
    • AUGMENTS THAT ARE COMMON TO EVERYONE ON THE MAIN PATH!THE TECHNIQUES BELOW NOW UNLOCK A SPECIFIC SELECTION OF SPELLS (TO SERVE THE RED MAGE JOB)

    NOTE - ALL CHANGES WERE MADE WITH THE INTENTION OF PROVIDING MORE FREEDOM WITHOUT REDUCING THE DIFFICULTY! THIS BOARD WAS MADE TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE "HARDCORE ENEMIES" MOD AND WITH MY OWN ALTERATION TO THE ORIGINAL BATTLEPACK THAT PREVENTS ANY CHARACTER FROM REACHING A STAT HIGHER THAN 65 AT LV99 WITHOUT EQUIPMENT!
