Hi guys!
So this mod adds elf ears to the game. It does this by replacing the base head sprite for the player character, which means that it's compatible with all skintones, accessories, and hair.
I'm looking at trying to get long hairs to work with it, the issue here is that I edited the base head that all the models use, specifically so the ears wont conflict with anything. The issue with long hair is that it takes up the same space, and there's no way for me to increase the size of the png file (that's the file that the game uses for graphics) without breaking the game. I will have to edit every png for every hair, and there's 48 each!! I will try to do so and upload as optional files here, but it's going to take a while as it's a lot of work! Please write in the comments which hair you would like me to edit first, and I'll start with the one most commented.
There are three variants:
Straight
Droopy
Pointy
Choose ONE folder after extracting to install as they all replace the same files.
Installation:
1. Extract the file with your choice of extractor. I usually use WinRAR or 7zip. Once it has been extracted you'll have a folder named "Elf Ears". This folder contains three more folders named above. Select ONE folder from these three. They all contain edits of the same files, so only one can be loaded into the game or you'll just be continuously overriding them all.
2. Open the UndertaleModTool, select "file", select "open", and then click on the data.win file. BACK THIS FILE UP FIRST. You can do it just by copying it to a separate location on your computer.
3. Next click on "Scripts", and then hover over "Resources Repackers", and select "ImportGraphics.csx". This will open a new window where you will select which folder you want to upload. Locate the folder and select it, you may get a pop up stating that some of the files are under a different folder and do you want to proceed. Click yes. Next, click "file" and then "save" and save it over the current data.win file in your Field of Mistria Folder.
4. Load up the game and check to see if it's working.
