About this mod

A sweeping remix of content, with changes to all classes, most monsters, and most equipment. The general goal is to preserve the original flavor while changing things up enough for a fresh playthrough. Also includes 6 new classes for mid-to-late game variety.

The major goals of the remix are:

  • To change things up enough to make the game feel fresh again, but not enough to lose the original flavor. Almost every class has new and altered abilities, as do many monsters and variants. Many global changes were applied to rebalance status effects, crits, and more. Weapons and armor were rebalanced for further differentiation.
  • To make changing to a new class less painful by making passives available from the get-go
  • To decouple current class and attributes gained on level. Equipment and passives now play a larger roll in determining attributes instead, allowing more freedom to level as previously suboptimal classes.
  • To provide a handful of new classes to further add diversity to mid-to-late game parties.

The new classes are:

  • Dragoon - mobility focused heavy melee unit
  • Drake Blooded - hybrid character with elemental dragon-based skills
  • Sensei - attack scaling high utility support
  • Bombardier - AoE focused ranged-weapon user
  • Gravity Mage - high range anti-tank mage with some status effects
  • Spiritualist - mind based weapon user with a variety of miscellaneous spells

Installation:

Extract files to Documents/Fell Seal/customdata

After extra the files, you should see a number of XML files, GameOptions.txt, and a languages folder. The languages folder should have a subfolder titled "en", containing several txt files.


Thanks to Mechalibur and Simon Magus for having open permissions on their mods. This mod incorporates an altered version of Mechalibur's Sorcerer rework, as well as a few code snippets from Simon Magus's class pack.
