This mod enriches the game drastically.I do love the idea of the base game but in my perspective the base game offers too little benefit to compensate the extremely high grade of frustration. "Multiverse" does offer a lot more than the base game and is a lot more balanced...at least in my opinion. So I advise to go through the hassle of installing "Multiverse" (do not use nexus files cause at the moment these are outdated). https://subsetgames.com has everything up to date and every tutorial you need. It is a bit of work but I am really glad I chose to do it, cause together with "Multiverse" FTL is a perfect game.
Hi, i was planning to make a custom ship for multiverse, is there any doc or hints we can have on how to do this properly ? i used superliminal & tried to edit xml files, but it is completly obscure to me how the game know to put the ship X in slot X slot X
and i spent way to much time searching for it, so if someone *knows* please answer and so other ppl wanting to do so would see it
This is extremely out of date. At the time of this comment the latest build w/hotfix was released Feb 7th 2022. Go to the Subset games forum and you can find detailed instructions on how to get the the latest version. No account required.
Every version can be replaced by the next version up. Just put whatever version you want to use into slipstream's mod folder (make sure you also have allow_zip enabled with slipstream) and launch it, then select that version and patch.
forgive me for being silly but how do u install the mod i installed hyperspace and the slipsteam mod manager but i cant put Multiverse into them plz help XD
Having had the same question, here's what you do in a more step-by-step fashion. Once you've done as wout25 has suggested (ensuring that Slipstream will recognize .zip files as .ftl), you need to move the WHOLE .zip folder into your Slipstream mods folder.
As an example, my folder now look like this: Beginning Scrap Advantage 1.2.ftl Engi Scrap Advantage 1.2.ftl FTL Multiverse v.3.5.2 Hyperspace.ftl modorder readme

Does that help?
