Arrow use Feathers and Flint
What this?

Crafting arrows requires (1)flint and (3)feathers additionally to the vanilla (1)wood now.

How to install?

According to Apomoprph's instructions.

1. rename the patch.fat and patch.dat in your Far Cry Primal\data_win32 to: patch_sound.fat/.dat
2. unpack the download to a place of your choice and move the inside patch.fat/.dat into the aforementioned folder(data_win32)
3. start the game as usual

How did you do it?

For anyone interested game hack/tweak mods are done with FCB Converter, and convenient tools like Notepad++, and/or any scripting software supporting .lua code. You can run FCB Converter from any location on your hard drive(s). Make sure to choose the correct gaming format(FC4 for primal) for any action that requires it. Unpack any of the vanilla library's, and then use the converter to deobfuscate data to allow editing. After editing make sure to rename the converted file to its original name, then repack everything with the correct folder structure inside a main folder named "patch". Make sure to backup your source before moving to the FCP data folder.

Any more details?

1. the amount of feathers in your inventory has been increased as well: 4 -> 72+4...sums up creating 24 arrows plus the default 4 feathers
2. the amount of flint in your inventory was increased: 24 -> 40; 32 -> 48; 40 -> 56...sums up the default value plus 16 flint shards

You mod FCP now? Can we see more in future?

Maybe. Modding isn't as convenient for FCP, as it it for Bethesda games, or Kingdom come Deliverance etc. If you thing other games are barely moddable, FCP in fact is! We can not use loose files, and we can not use custom .fat/.dat file formation to override the vanilla files. We also do not have a dedicated mod folder, or anything similar, so mod users need to hack their own game to actually make mods take effect. In result that means we can not have multiple game tweak mods at once as we have only one accessible file.

I started with a small mod to understand how things work and play out, but if I enjoy the game as much after my 1st playthrough, as I do enjoy now, there's a high chance I will make my own tweak package.

I want to report a bug!
