OVERVIEW:
_______________________________________________________________________________

Choosing the pack version you wish to use is very simple.

First, pick the minimap style/version you want (A, B, or C)

Then choose the weapons mod you prefer (D or E).

Lastly, decide whether or not you'd like to use the HD textures.
***Be sure to review the "IMPORTANT NOTE"(below) regarding the HD textures***


Once you choose which VARIANTS you prefer, head over to the files section, and simply look for version containing the 2-3 letter combination you want.

(for example: version 3.0CEF will include all ESSENTIALS, the Alt. Compass hud, weapon variables according to Legit Guns, and the HD textures.)

Updates, hotfixes, etc will be applied following the decimal point. (v3.0CEF will get updated to v3.1CEF, so and so forth).

This will eliminate much of the confusion, and make it much easier for you great users to track, follow, and update!

The installation process is the exact same for all variations, so feel free try different versions until you find your preference.

Detailed installation instructions are provided at the bottom of this page.

when player unlock an outpost a message ask him if he want to take control of this outpost ! !
If The player choose "Cancel" Rakyats are coming to defend it but you still in red zone !! Meaning that you still can make pirates encounters !!.
If you click "Ok" , the oupost behave just like normal , the camp turn into a safehouse fast travel point and you have acces to automatic shop and memory card ... BUT pirates are no longer spawning .
So choose wisely , because an outpost turned into a safehouse can't be pirate or merc owned again
-REMOVED FOG OF WAR (the whole map is now visible, which makes sense since Jason grabs a map at the start of game) ( Tom.Solo )

-INCREASED PIRATE HEARING - the distance pirates can hear noise has been more than tripled from vanilla. tread lightly in your approach
-INCREASED PIRATE TARGETING, SPOT DISTANCE AND TAGGING SPEED - Pirates will can now see you coming are a more realistic distance. They'll also get you in their targets much faster. This increases the challenge to more realistic variables
-NEW PIRATE OUTFITS/CAMMOS - no longer will you see those obvious red outfits a mile away ( Inakrin )
-REMOVED CAMERA TAG & WALL HACK - no longer tag enemies through cam, nor will they be visible through objects ( karmakgb / PandoraX357)

-NEW CORPSE LOOT ANIMATION - This loot animation takes half as long to complete. Instead of the pat-dowon, Jason quickly reaches to the body and loots (x1_x4 - thanks for the find)

All guns have more realistic performance in the game.
-Damage is based on actual weapon terminal ballistics tests
-Sway in sights and aiming are factors of the weapon's weight
-Recoil is a factor related to actual weapon recoil, incorporating bullet weight, powder, velocity, and weight of weapon
-Accuracy is based on actual Minute of Arc extreme spreads for the most realism
-Reload time is 25% slower on Assault Rifles, LMG's, and SMG's
-All weapons have realistic magazine capacities, including with Extended Magazines
-All weapons have vastly more maximum range
-Weapons have proper rates of fire (most especially that PKM.)
-Weapons have a new attachment setup that is a modified version of Leechmonger's attachments mod

In vanilla FC3 and most available mods I've tested, shotguns are ridiculous in their function. 7 projectiles leave the barrel and head off in opposite directions.
Each projectile does the equivalent damage of an Ak47 round, and if you're lucky it'll take out 3 bad dudes at once... trouble is, none of them are likely to be the one right in front of you.

This mod fixes that by making shotgun spread more realistic and concentrated, while reducing the damage per projectile to a more realistic level.
(note - the spread is still much higher than real world values, but this mod is intended to be fun and functional not a hardcore military sim)

Shotguns are now deadly to 25m on unarmored targets, and still do considerable damage to 50m.

All weapon damage and accuracy has been remodeled based on my personal experience with the weapons in game and in game testing to make sure I didn't take the fun out of it.
(I've fired most of the FC3 weapons in real life, full autos included)

As an example, the MS16 fires a 7.62x51 round that is a one hit game over in most situations. This gun was far too weak in vanilla, now its a one shot kill for unarmored baddies at under 100m,
and a one or two shot kill for privateers with body armor.

The recoil modeling has been altered for all weapons, in most cases increased to more reasonable levels. The vanilla KSV seemed unbelievably accurate in full auto fire for a 1000rpm .45acp even with its high-tech action. The Ak47 in vanilla was nowhere near close.

This mod also unlocks all weapons from the first shop, but values for better guns are dramatically increased to the point that you will have to scavenge pretty hard to afford them before the second island.

The weapon stats in shops should show a reasonable correlation between the actual changes

INSTALLATION:------------------------------------------------------------------------

archive comes with 2 Folders. Bin, data_win32
I suggest making a 3rd folder named "Backup"

step 1: Make copies/backups of your current:

FC3.dll and FC3_d3d11.dll (found in your bin folder of Far CRy 3 Directory) and drop into backup folder

then copies of,

patch.fat and patch.dat (found in your data_win32 folder of Far Cry 3 Directory) and drop into backup folder as well

---this is only to make things handy for you, but as you wish backups---

unpack archive into Far Cry 3 main directory

STep By Step DX11 Workaround for the HD Textures
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For those crashing, I believe I have a procedure to avoid this and enjoy textures at Dx11. You MUST FOLLOW EVERY STEP IN THIS ORDER to WORK
Step 1: set uplay in offline mode, and restart it

Step 2: in gamerprofile.xml set "useD3D11=0"

Step 3: make xml "read only" under properties (this will force the dx9.exe the next time uplay launched)

*Step 4: CLOSE UPLAY and relaunch in offline mode

Step 5: launch game, then exit game but not uplay.

!!IMPORTANT!! Don't close uplay

Step 6 de select "read only" on gamerprofile.xml

step 7: go back into gamerprofile.xml and set "useD3D11=1"

Step 8: set xml to "read only" again

Step 9: Play!!!

(you'll see in the video section, dx11 is enabled)

NOTE: Remember, if you close uplay, you'll have to do this again.


Figured this out when i restarted my computer, thus restarting uplay. Since xml was set to 1 and used dx11.exe and so I crashed. After doing these steps, I'm crash free again.
