UPDATE: VERSION 2 -- NOW WITH FEWER ANNOYING ANIMALS

I strongly believe that I have successfully removed snakes from all parts of the game. I say "believe" because it's hard to test for something that isn't there. That said, this has been tested pretty thoroughly--in particular, on temples that contained snakes in specific locations prior to applying the mod--and through20 74 hours of snake-free gameplay in the overworld everywhere. If you find snakes in the game to be an annoyance, this mod should help. If the snakes in the game make you feel uncomfortable, this mod should serve your purposes too, but I would encourage you to reach out to me for further details. The installation instructions are the same as for Version 1.
As stated below, I'm happy to create patches that remove other animals from the game, if there is interest in doing so.

I'm happy to create patches that remove other animals from the game on request, just shoot me a message.
This patch removes snakes from the overworld, but may not necessarily remove them from caves/temples. Honestly not sure why they can still be found in those places. It may be because they're predetermined encounters. I'm working on removing those snakes too.

INSTALLATION
To install this mod, unzip/extract the patch.zip folder. replace the "patch.dat" and "patch.fat" files in the dat_win32 folder (which is within the Far Cry 3 folder, wherever that might be located on your computer) with the "patch.dat" and "patch.fat" files that you extracted from patch.zip. For Steam users, the dat_win32 will likely be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Far Cry 3. Your exact file location may, of course, vary.

This is a pretty simple mod and doesn't really merit a donation. The owner of Rick's Game Stuff, however, very much deserves a donation, as his modding tools are what made any Far Cry 3 mods possible in the first place--mine or other people's. He's also modded a whole bunch of other games and hundreds of thousands of gamers likely have him to thank for his countless hours of unpaid labor. So if you enjoy any Far Cry 3 mods (or any other "Gibbed" save game editors for other games), send some money his way.
