This mod adds several outfits from Fallout New Vegas to Fallout Shelter. All outfits have been tested in-game on both genders and are displaying properly, barring a minor graphical hiccup concerning Arcade's Power Armor that cannot be fixed (see Read Me for explanation).

All outfits can be crafted at the Armor Workshop. They are intended to be immersive and balanced. As far as I am aware, robot9706's tutorial for custom outfits does not allow you to designate outifts as male or female exclusive, outfits intended to be so have an alternate costume for the other gender, otherwise unless noted all outfits are unisex. Outfit IDs are included in the Read Me file for adding the outfits to your save file with FSSE.

To use these new outfits, once you have Custom Outfits installed, select all of the downloaded .json files and the "Textures" folder, and copy them into the "CustomOutfits" folder in your Fallout Shelter folder structure. The directory should be something like this: steamapps\common\Fallout Shelter\FalloutShelter_Data\Mods\CustomOutfits

FAQ

How did you make these?
I made these with robot9706's tutorial for custom outfits: https://www.nexusmods.com/falloutshelter/mods/11/

All assets in these outfits were taken from other in-game sources, just heavily edited and recolored and taken from different sheets to composit a new outfit from the pieces of others.

Why are some of the outfits gender-specific?
I wanted this from the start (A woman wearing the armor of the Great Caesar? What profligate bullshit is that?) but there does not seem a way to flag this in robot9706's tutorial. That aside, some of the outfits were difficult to make (Boone's shirt was surprisingly complicated), while others did not have their base assets available for the other gender in the first place (the King's Suit for one), so I made the outfit for the intended gender and skimped on the not-intended gender. However, even the placeholder outfits are at least slightly edited, even if just a palette swap, so you can still have some cool new outfits and the dwellers wearing them will be noticeable.

What's up with the lines on the coats?
The skirt pieces of various outfits including longcoats are separate files, and the game checks for an outfit file to be flagged if it has a skirt or not, which makes the skirt pieces appear over top of the top of the outfit, when otherwise they appear below them. The problem is that only females are able to have skirts in this manner; if a male wears an outfit flagged as having a skirt, even if the male version of the outfit does not include a skirt, their head turns into a mess of textures. So, I had to make due with not-flagged skirts that appear beneath the outfit tops, resulting in a seam between the two.

No Ulysses Duster?
No. Ulysses Duster and the Courier Duster look identical in New Vegas save for the symbols on the back, which obviously can't be done in this game. I did attempt to make a variant Duster with a gas mask included, but decided it was a minor detail for the work involved.

Why is Cass's hair part of her outfit?
For some reason, I simply couldn't figure it out, dwellers did not want their hair to appear with the hat. I don't know why, I spent an hour trying to figure it out. So I put the hair texture in on its own so any female dweller wearing Cass' Outfit can fully and properly look the part.

What's up with Lanius' mask?
I am not a graphic artist, I just know how to change color settings and do some trick with layers, but I can't draw for crap. Since there was nothing in-game that even vaguely resembles Lanius' mask, the image was modified from the achievement image in New Vegas, but the restrictions of how large the helmet can be in-game forced me to drastically shorten the beard and plume.

What's up with Lily's outfit?
Naturally, Lily wears overalls, but there's no outfits that could be modified for females with overalls, only the male outfits had them. But Lily is, well, Lily, so making the outfit male-exclusive wasn't an option; on the other hand she's a nightkin, she doesn't have a traditional female body type like what Fallout Shelter does. So, Lily's Overalls actually have the MALE torso built into them as part of the outfit, which will appear over the female's torso. It looks better than you may think, actually.

And, because she's a nightkin, Lily's outfit has a variant: one is just the outfit, and one is the outfit plus a blue filter over the wearer's skin to make them appear a dull blue like a proper nightkin. This plus the previous point unfortunately means that the nightkin version of the outfit comes with a "pre-tinted" male torso, which was a white-ish skintone in the templates used. So, if your fault dweller has dark skin, the torso in the nightkin version of Lily's Overalls will not match the color of their limbs. Nothing can be done about this, sorry.
