Works for me. Installed it yesterday. Just use Quick Configuration modding tool. Then once you start the game and get to the login screen, wait for the second bagground scene to start before pressing login. Game will crash if you press login on the first scene. Hope this helps.
How can we adjust the time it takes to lower the weapon? It looks silly how the gun twitches to aim every time you fire because they immediately lower the weapon after each shot. A cool down time would be nice. Uninstalled for this sole reason. The instant lowering of the gun doesn't make it immersive, which is the opposite point of what this mod was for.
Is there any chance you could add the new v63 Laser Carbine to your compilation of tweaks?
This one is particularly bad as it feels the rifle is wobbling a lot in a nauseating and unnatural way - I'm having a hard time trying to use that just because of this ^^
I want to love this mod so much, but I have found that the Gauss Rifle in VATS or Hip fire will shoot before the gun gets to the ready position in the animation, which means the shot goes completely wild and you miss. So the gun can't be used in any other mode than iron sights :(
When I load in, my character is frozen and I can't move. Any fix for this and to get the mod working? I injected the file in the Animations.ba2 file properly. I've used this mod before and it previously worked great. Thanks in advance for any support!
Using the separate LoweredWeapons.ba2 file (instead of editing the archive) - worked for me. Don't forget to edit Fallout76Custom.ini: [Archive] sResourceIndexFileList = LoweredWeapons.ba2
Thanks to the person, who provided that *.ba2 file!
To anyone new. Download Fallout76 quick configuration open mods in that. drag and drop the LoweredWeapons.ba2 file linked above. check mark it and press deploy. then run game through Quick configuartion. done.
It's not deleted, discord just sucks now and deletes the links after every 24 hours. I'm currently looking into using Github instead. Still, going back through years worth of posts, trying to track down everything and edit them is going to take a while. Not to mention having to take everything from this one discord server and put it on github.
The standalone mod that DeathWrench posted works yes and I thank him, however, holding the gun lowered at all times isn't ideal. There should be at least a couple seconds of having the gun in 'hipfire' mode before he lowers it.
You know, I was just thinking that and came over here to see if anyone else had the idea.
I've searched for the past hour or three for tools to edit .hkx files and couldn't really find anything. The tools I did find usually involved importing them into Blender or another 3d modeling software. Would be extremely time consuming to edit all of the animations that way...
I'd imagine the FO4 creation kit might work, but I don't have FO4 currently installed to actually run the creation kit. Other sources around the internet say that FO76 models/animations don't always import correctly either.
Will keep researching. Would be neat if the mod creator chimed in on the tool they used though. Mostly out of curiosity, but would also be neat to edit the animations.

Hi there :)
Any way to add a toogle function to this mod? :)
