Have you ever modded a weapon with the stats you want, just for it to look ugly as hell? With this mod, there's no more having to choose between stats and looks.

This mod makes certain weapons have generic appearances, regardless of how you mod them, meaning you can finally put mods whose stats you like on without having to compromise how the weapon looks. It covers all aspects of the weapon except bayonets, silencers, and sights, as these have an actual impact on the functionality of the weapon.

Please do not request variations, I'm not going to make every possible combination of mods. I went with designs that look most like a weapon's appearance in a previous Fallout game, its real-life counterpart, or just what I thought looked the best or the most distinct.

The following weapons are covered by this mod, and appear as depicted in the screenshots:
-radium rifle
-lever-action rifle
-western revolver
-handmade rifle
-10mm pistol
-10mm smg
-.44 magnum
-combat shotgun
-combat rifle
-submachine gun
-hunting rifle
-assault rifle
-pump-action shotgun
-double-barrel shotgun
-m79 grenade launcher
-.50 cal machine gun
-minigun
-gatling gun
-laser gun
-plasma gun
-gatling laser
-gatling plasma
-plasma caster
-flamer

Be aware that some weapons' "short" or "stub" barrel is just the receiver without a barrel mod (such as the 10mm pistol's stub barrel or the hunting rifle's short barrel, which is actually just part of the stock), thus these particular mods will change the weapon's appearance and there's nothing I can do about it.

To install, first create a "Fallout76Custom.ini" in the following directory (if you don't already have one):
C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Fallout 76\

Then, put the following lines in the Fallout76Custom.ini:
[Archive]
sResourceArchive2List = GenericWeaponModels.ba2,

or, if you have multiple mods:
[Archive]
sResourceArchive2List = ExampleMod1.ba2, ExampleMod2.ba2, GenericWeaponModels.ba2,

then, simply place "GenericWeaponModels.ba2" in your Fallout 76 data directory, which by default is:
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout76\Data\

Enjoy!
