Hey Ulithium, they still haven't fixed this so I came across your handy dandy mod, however, I might be completely in the wrong place to ask this of you or here but considering this is I assume a mesh/texture edit, there's some old issues from Fallout 4 regarding some of the PA suits aswell... X-01's right arm has a floating bolt and both T51-b and the ''new'' Ultracite PA helmets have some really weird s*** going on with their necks in that you can see through them/into the world from the gap in the back/front. Would you perhaps be able to fix these eye sores? If not, ah well. Thanks again for this fix.
Probably not without being able to actually edit F76 meshes and/or skeleton rigs. I've been away for a few months (just got back), but I still don't think Nifskope has been updated to support F76 meshes.
If it has not got an update by this point, then I think it's safe to say that the Niftools team has no intentions of ever adding support for it. :/
It wasn't just an issue, it was near game-breaking. You couldn't see anything during the cage match fight with the raider boss in the special electrified power armor at the start of the DLC. They still couldn't be asked to fix it.
Honestly, Bethesda has never to my knowledge released a bugfix patch for one of their DLCs. They usually fix a couple things with the main game before wandering off, but I don't think they've ever patched a DLC before.
Bethesda always left the serious bug fixing to the modding community. It would not surprise me if they see the modding community part of their long term business strategy.
In any case thank you for the fix I got so used to the glitch that I thought it was normal now I see it clearly was not.
They did finally fix Nuka World, but it was a long time in getting around to fixing a serious bug. I used Eldocar's fix for over a year. hehehe Thank You for putting this together!!! :)
Nuka World had a bugfix patch released for it? This would be news to me. Though if it was a full year after, I probably had long stopped caring (and playing) Fallout 4 by then.
You're welcome! I'm surprised it took me this long to notice the problem. This was a HUGE issue for Fallout 4's Nuka World DLC, where these assets originally came from. But then, these bottle statues where everywhere in Nuka World, and this particular statue only looks too big when you examine it closely. From far away it looks fine.
I think I get what you mean... so if the model is different for two different people on the same server, does that mean you'll be seen clipping through the vanilla asset and still be able to take shots at people?
I mean, I SUPPOSE if you wanted to do what you're suggesting, then yes - people without the mod wouldn't be able to see you. They would, however, still be able to shoot you since the collision mesh was incorrectly sized in the first place. No collision was changed, so the only advantage would be visual. If you want to camp at the Nuka-Cola and try to abuse such a tiny advantage, then that's your choice.
I'm pretty sure that literally any mod on the Nexus could be considered "cheating" if you try to apply some super specific scenario to them. It's not like I'm removing the collision on base walls so you can walk through them... I'm just fixing a bug that Bethesda probably won't ever fix (they didn't fix it for Fallout 4's Nuka World).

Bethesda is so damn lazy....
P.S.: You obviously made a mistake when copying installation instructions.... Need to fix that
