No issues with latest patch, current config changes Patch 12 (updated Aug 20 2019)
Due to the 1024 character limit, you can rename the mod to anything you wish and it will have no impact to its use. Please add the mod after the 'sResourceIndexFileList' in your ini as shown in the example below.
Replace <mod> with the name of the included mod or whatever you have renamed it to.
1.0.2 brings a small update in terms of texture optimization, and should help free up some memory resources.
I have left the previous version available in case of problems but myself and a couple of my testers have been running for a week or so now and I haven't had any negative feedback, but you never know.
1.0.2 ------------------------------------------------------ - Change All textures optimized, resulting in half their original size which will free up memory resources.
Thank you to the people here and that found me in game and provided feedback ( my nexus name is not my in game name so not sure how you figured it out )

Check this mod in 2025 and with the latest update ! Some mod is crashing , so point out the mods I was using , but I had to turn them off , because of the mod I was using I had this one too ! In pipboy browsing the game crashes me immediately !
so now try to run the collected ore on the ground what you have collected , my colleague would not write here otherwise if it was not as he writes logically ! Then when you drop the ore on the ground get ready to crash the game I don't know if it does for large amounts or smaller amounts but it is about the amount .
This is correct. It works April 2024 still. Even if you use vortex, what you have to do is go to (on standard install) Documents\My Games\Fallout 76\Fallout76Custom.ini
and on the end of the line with the [Archive] add ", ore_glow.ba2". Comma to separate, a space, then the ore_glow.ba2.
Need some babysitting it seems I had to reinstall game and now cant figure out how to make the ore glow again. Put the mod in data folder and extracted it there then went to and here is where i think I am making a mistake, the fallout76custom.ini file is in mygames\fallout76\fallout76custom.ini right? have this in the ini file [Archive] sResourceArchive2List = SeventySix - 00UpdateMain.ba2, SeventySix - 00UpdateStream.ba2, SeventySix - 00UpdateTextures.ba2, UHDmap.ba2, Glowing Bobbleheads - Green.ba2, Glowing Cap Stashes - Yellow.ba2, Glowing Gold - Orange.ba2, Glowing Magazines - Orange.ba2, Glowing Paperbags - Red.ba2, plant_glow.ba2, Glowing Plastic - Green.ba2, Glowing ore - Yellow.ba2, Glowing Ballistic Fiber - Yellow.ba2, Glowing Springs - Blue.ba2, Glowing Plastic -0 Green.ba2, Glowing Mineral Nodes - Green.ba2, Glowing Adhesive - Green.ba2, Glowing Circuits - Orange.ba2, Glowing Fiber Optics - Teal.ba2, Glowing Lead - Yellow.ba2, ATX_Main.ba2, SeventySix - ATX_Textures.ba2, BobbleGlow.ba2, SeventySix - 00UpdateMain.ba2, SeventySix - 01UpdateMain.ba2, 00UpdateStream.ba2, SeventySix - 01UpdateStream.ba2, SeventySix - 00UpdateTextures.ba2, SeventySix - 01UpdateTextures.ba2, SeventySix - MeshesExtra.ba2, SeventySix - GeneratedMeshes.ba2, Glow.ba2,
You need to put *a space*ore_glow.ba2 after your last comma on last line of your message if thats the name of the file you put in your data folderolder. BOLDER.
Is anyone else having issues with this since the last update? I've tried this and another and neither are working. Was working previously, and all other current mods I am using are also working.

why doesn't it work?
Installed mod and deployed via Vortex. No difference noted.
Did some scrounging and found that the custom ini file was never updated. Added "ore_glow.ba2" to the file and now it works.
Documents\My Games\Fallout 76\Fallout76Custom.ini
and on the end of the line with the [Archive] add ", ore_glow.ba2".
Comma to separate, a space, then the ore_glow.ba2.
Open up the game and should be good to go.
or am i dummy who cant make it work?
mygames\fallout76\fallout76custom.ini right? have this in the ini file
