About this image

Can someone help me understand this nonsense ? All I am trying to do is move my main camp building from X to Y and not only did it tell me I needed more materials to build exactly the same building, when I try to plonk it down it tells me I have "Exceeded the budget" when the budget bar isn't full ? I thought I was supposed to be magically teleporting it.

This might help: so every time you move camp it Stores your site with some glitches that will hopefully be fixed. So everything in the Stored tab is counting towards your budget. I've found that I will get duplicated camps stored, even larger camps, I've had one built and 3 more in the stored tab.

You might need to start placing the stored items and then select scrap or store again to start breaking the pieces back down. Sometimes I would get the duplicate materials but a lot of times the items break down into scrap that disappears (as it should since its cloned glitch stuff anyway). Keep tearing it down till you start to see the budget drop.

If this is your situation, then I recommend breaking down the cheaper walls and floor stuff and saving a few of the turrets/generators for last so that you don't have to necessarily rebuild expensive parts.

And just because I thought this was confusing to me, the Stored tab is different than the Blueprints tab in that the Blueprints will require you to build the missing pieces, but Stored has the pieces built and they count towards your budget : )

Wow , I think I understand that !The thing is, I wasn't up to the full budget when I tried to move it and I thought it was supposed to be "easy". It said I only 168 Wood out of 333 required to build it.
Thanks for your reply and I will have a look in the Stored tab today, BTW I don't have several stored versions of this building since I was careful to just overwrite the same blueprint every time I upgraded it.

in addition to all that you should ALWAYS use the contractor perk to reduce the build cost of all items

The net result was that of the options offered to me by the game I had to choose "Scrap Blueprint and store components". Then today I found a beautiful spot for it well away from Griefers and rebuilt it to a better design in about an hour. Lesson learned.
