"Fallout 4: Good game, bad RPG" - PC Gamer Magazine

Let's try and fix that
What's in this mod?

40 quests with around 20 hours of content, including:

6 fully-voiced custom companions

1) Murphy: Morally ambiguous slave-trading ghoul
2) Harley: Troubled gang member with an obsession for old comic books
3) Eden: Badass knife-fighter
4) Alerios: Machete-wielding ghoul with an affinity for fashion masks and pre-war slasher films
5) Roxy: Ex-courser, romanceable
6) Stella: Kid companion

7 vanilla-based companions

1) Kellogg: If you convince him to work with you instead of killing him (it's optional)
2) Tina de Luca: She now has over 400 new voice lines, a personal quest, and gives side quests too
3) Slave Kasumi: If you choose to allow slavery in Diamond City after becoming mayor (no Far Harbor conflict)
4) Cito: If you let him live in the Safari Adventure quest from Nuka World
5) Isabel Cruz: If you spare her life in Automatron
6) Sheng Kawolski: If you blow up Diamond City
7) Nat Wright: If you blow up Diamond City

Murphy drives the main plot and he is a forced companion for one quest. All
other companions are optional. None of the companions use a vanilla
companion slot. Harley, Roxy, Tina, and Stella have personal quests.
Eden, Roxy, Harley, and Tina give repeatable side quests. If a companion
gets lost, teleport them to you with the "Teleport Depravity Companions
to you" holotape that is added to your inventory during the first
quest.

Murphy, Harley, Eden, Stella, and Alerios are located at Concord Fallon's. Roxy is at The New Rexford Hotel & Casino. Do not
engage with Roxy beyond playing Roulette several times if a sexually
explicit companion is not your thing. She's completely optional and will
trigger some people. More detail here near the bottom under "Side Quests Roxy".

3 interior settlement/player bases

1) Concord Fallon’s - Available immediately
2) The New Rexford Hotel & Casino - Once you own Hotel Rexford
3) The Diamond City Strongroom - After you become mayor of Diamond City

These come fully furnished, but also have workbenches, and you can send your
companions and settlers to live there. Concord Fallon's has a dungeon
for your least favorite NPC's, and the New Rexford Hotel & Casino
has a day spa for your waifus.

RPG elements that should have been in the vanilla game:

- Option to work for an established gang in Concord instead of just for Preston after leaving Vault 111.

- Spare Kellogg and use him to help you access the Institute rather than
being forced to kill him. Instead of helping Virgil, let Kellogg torture
him for the needed intel and schematics.

- Help Goodneighbor build their defenses, eliminate political rivals, clean up their streets, and fix their economy.

- Kill Marowski, take ownership of Hotel Rexford, clean up the interior,
recruit new staff, revamp the place with a casino, club, new vendors,
etc, and earn money from running it.

- Take over the Commonwealth chem trade: manufacturing your own drug, eliminating competitors, and protecting your dealers.

- Fight off an invasion of Diamond City, choose alternate fates for
McDonough (e.g. slavery, public humiliation), and become the new mayor,
running the city for good or evil, with consequences for your decisions
on issues like slavery, tax rates, police brutality, and immigration.
You can even blow up Diamond City if you want.

- If you tire of Preston, or never want to deal with him at all, you can kill him, blow
up The Castle, and become enemies with The Minutemen.

- More satisfying ways to deal with the Gunners, including blowing up Gunners' Plaza.

Alternate ways to play Acts I and II of the vanilla main quest:

The vanilla game forces you to follow a specific path through Acts I and II
of the main quest. If you want to progress, you have to rescue Nick,
you have to follow Dogmeat, you have to kill Kellogg, you have to visit
Amari, you have to sit through the brain sequence, you have to help
Virgil, you have to build a relay, and... Preston.

The forced path was fine for the first play-through, but on a second, third, fifth,
or tenth run, what if you don't want to sit through all that stuff
again, when you have no control over it?

If Project Valkyrie was an alternate ending mod, think of this as an alternate early-game
mod, meant to give you more role-playing options between the time you
leave Vault 111 and first access the Institute. You can play the mod at
any point in your save game though.

Compatible with Start Me Up and Sim Settlements Conqueror, here are some things you can do differently from vanilla:

- Ignore Preston and acquire the lead to Diamond City from another source.
- Skip rescuing Nick Valentine until you feel like it. He'll be fine, and the main quest moves on without him.
- Access Kellogg's apartment, find the clues on your own, and head straight to Fort Hagen.
- No more Dogmeat materializing out of thin air in Diamond City, and then pretending not to know where's he's headed.
- Avoid the Amari, Virgil, and Kellogg brain quests where you pretend not
to know what the Institute's big transportation secret is.
- Spare Kellogg if you want, and he'll just show you what the big secret is, and
then help you kill a courser and decode its courser chip.

These are all new options you can choose, but none are required. The goal is
to provide more role playing and less grind on a repeat play-through. If
you run Project Valkyrie (good ending) or Diary of a Madman (evil endings) with this, you can take an entirely different path through the Fallout 4 main quest from Vault 111 to the end.

Required Files & Installation

1) All Fallout 4 official DLC: Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka World, Wasteland Workshop, Vault-Tec Workshop, Contraptions Workshop
2) Outcasts and Remnants v1.4 or higher

The mod will not work without these, nor will there be a version that doesn't require them.

When downloading the file, do not use the "Download Vortex" button on the
main mod page. Don't use the "Mod Manager Download" button on the file
download page either. It doesn't always work correctly. Instead,
navigate to the files page, and choose the "Manual Download" button.
Once downloaded, import the file from your desktop into your mod
manager, and activate it. The mod will not work unless it is activated.

If your mod manager is having trouble installing, see here.

To make most mods work in general, you also need loose files enabled. If you'd like to take your modding experience to the next level, install Mod Organizer 2 (works for Skyrim SE and Fallout 4).

How to Start

Talk to Stella, the little kid located at the entrance to Concord, down the
road from Red Rocket Truck Stop. Agree to help find her friend, and the
rest of the adventure branches out from there.

You can start the mod at any point in your save game, regardless of
progress or which factions you've sided with or which quests you've
completed. If you want Kellogg as a companion, he'll need to be alive.
If you want Kasumi as a companion, you'll need to choose the option to
allow slavery in Diamond City after you become mayor.

Compatibility and Recommended Mods

Compatible with everything unless explicitly stated otherwise, meaning the mod
works with everything unless the mod documentation says that it doesn't.
If you play Horizon, Sim Settlements, Start Me Up, Diamond City
Expansion, Welcome to Goodneighbor, Better Goodneighbor, Mollie the
Cheerleader, Bob Ross' Happy Little Moon, Enhanced Sideboob Armor, Shaun
is the Antichrist, Taylor Swift Pip Boy Background, Unisex Catholic
Schoolgirl Uniforms, High Velocity Cat Cannon, Amputee Body for Unique
Player, or one of the other 30,000 mods for Fallout 4, you don't need to
ask about compatibility for each mod.

The following mods are recommended, as they will enhance your experience, but are not required:

Project Valkyrie - Picks up in Act II of the vanilla main quest with RPG choices where Depravity leaves off.
Fusion City Rising - Integrates with Roxy's character and backstory. Also Amber and Tori.
Radioactive Signs - The signs in Concord Fallon's will glow and look more interesting with this.
CBBE - A few NPC's have CBBE based outfits as their default. If you don't
like the outfit and/or don't use CBBE, just ask them to trade and equip
something else.
Thug Co - The Companionator - If you want one holotape to control all the companions from
Depravity, Project Valkyrie, Outcasts & Remnants, and Fusion City
Rising.
Thuggyfied - A Fallout 4 Mod List - If you're looking for a Fallout 4 experience based on flexibility,
fun, safety, ease of install, and popularity over personal preference.
Includes an optional game settings mod that will reduce grind and free
up some .esp plugin slots.

Depravity is a companion to Outcasts and Remnants, Project Valkyrie, and Fusion City Rising. The stories from these mods all run parallel. You can play any mod
first, or all at the same time. Neither Project Valkyrie or Fusion City
Rising are required to enjoy Depravity. There's a detailed play-through guide on how these mods interact with each other and the vanilla main quest.

Donations?

We do not accept donations, nor is the mod opted in to receive Donation
Points from Nexus. However, we'll take endorsements and game-play
screenshots if you've got good ones.

If you'd like to support a voice actor directly (for all their projects in general, not for this
mod), they're listed in the voice acting credits below. Just follow the
link to their Patreon.

Another way to support what we're doing: we have a Discord server where we answer questions about these mods + provide general mod
support, help people with making mods, discuss mod ideas, do
play-testing and early access to upcoming mods, etc.

It helps us if you boost that server (visit the Discord server, Click on the server name in the upper left, then click on 'Server Boost', and then 'Boost This Server').

We don't receive any money from that, it all goes to Discord, but it helps
us and all the Discord users by allowing access to more Discord
features (e.g. uploading larger files, streaming at high resolution
directly into the server, better user interface, etc). So huge thanks in
advance if you do it!

If you're a Discord Nitro subscriber, they give you 2 free boosts with which you can boost any servers you'd like.
