With the release of Fallout: London version 1.01, Team FOLON has fixed the underlying bug and this patch is no longer required.
(That said, it seems some people are still encountering a version of this bug, so if that's you then this patch may still help you :) )

UNINSTALLATION:
If you installed with a mod manager,
 simply disable/remove with your mod manager.

If you installed manually: This mod can be removed by deleting "Scripts\Fragments\Quests\QF_FOLON_DogmeatQuest_012728BB.pex" from your Fallout 4 Data\ directory.
IMPORTANT: ENSURE YOU DELETE THE CORRECT FILE. Fallout: London also places a file in that directory (QF_MQ101_0001ED86.pex), which is required for the correct operation of Fallout: London. Don't delete it.


Original mod description:

While Dogmeat is obviously a Very Good Boy, his place is in the Commonwealth with the Sole Survivor, not in London - that's Churchill's job. Currently, however, if you dismiss Churchill and then try to recruit him again, he summons Dogmeat into your game instead of joining your party. This mod fixes that.

If Dogmeat is already in your game, this mod won't do anything about that. It'll still let you get Churchill back, but Dogmeat will still hang around wherever he is. For best results, load a save from before you tried to pick Churchill back up if you have one.

If you already dismissed Churchill and can't find him: He's probably wherever you left him, regardless of where the game may have said he was going. If you picked up a new companion, he might be wherever you picked them up.
If you still can't find him anywhere, the following console command should teleport him to you: 
072728ba.moveto player
Note that the 07 at the start will depend on your load order - if it doesn't work, try a different number - 08 or 06 seem to be common alternatives for some people. If you have an earlier save with Churchill present, you can find his ID by loading that, opening the console, and clicking on him.


INSTALLATION:
Unzip into your Fallout 4 Data\ directory (in which Fallout London is installed), or install with your mod manager of choice.


COMPATIBILITY:
This mod contains a single script fragment only, no plugin required. Should be compatible with anything that doesn't edit the quest script fragment for re-hiring Churchill.


OTHER NOTES:
Please note that if you already tried to pick Churchill back up before installing this fix, Dogmeat will be in your game, ready to appear when you least expect it. As stated above, for best results, load a save from before you first tried to pick Churchill back up.

If you don't have a suitable save, and Dogmeat hasn't shown up for you yet (usually he'll do so the first time you fast travel after trying to get Churchill back), then re-recruiting Churchill with this fix installed should prevent Dogmeat from being teleported in. Recruiting another companion will also push Dogmeat out of your party and should stop him from teleporting in.

If you get/got a message saying that Churchill is returning to Red Rocket, that's probably actually Dogmeat, and Churchill hasn't actually moved.

If Dogmeat has already appeared and you don't have a suitable save from before he did, you won't be able to dismiss him normally. Picking up Churchill (with this fix installed) or another companion will remove Dogmeat from your party, and you can then get rid of him using the console, for example by disable
-ing him or banishing him back to Red Rocket in the Commonwealth with 1d162.moveto 24fbe
