    Does anyone know if this is still relevant and advised? It seems very old and I imagine that NMM would handle this?

    NVM, yeah just had to rollback to before the install and reinstall, and then despite doing nothing different, it worked.

      you can create it by adding it. In my file [Launcher] is under Blurshader. use the brackets.

      [BlurShader]
      bUseBlurShader=0
      [Launcher]
      bEnableFileSelection=1
      uLastAspectRatio=1

    This is outdated for ages now and no longer needed at all. I have 77 mods successfully running for more than a year and adding (and know about people who run 3 times as many as I do) and no problems whatsoever leaving this line BLANK! It just causes infinite loading times after Nexus Mod Manager's own complaints, I have read about, where it says to empty this line for it causes long loading times (if not crashes!).

    Even a Gopher should have heard about it long since and kindly update his stuff instead of confusing players, especially unexperienced ones.

      You mean to tell me I don't need to do these steps in order to mod fallout 4 to my hearts content?
