irl the whole idea of a gauss rifle means it has no recoil whatsoever since its magnetically accelerated. thats wher normal guns get their recoil its the explusion of gas resulting from the ignition of the blast cap of the bullet with no physical accelerant a gauss or rail weapon would have no recoil and would fire as fast as the magnets would recharge also it would mean it would need a fuel cell or battery to charge the magnets so maybe an energy cell cosmetic for us what want that level of immersion?
