About this video

200 years after atomic bombs scorched the world, the Commonwealth has been forever changed. When the ash of war settled and the embers cooled, it revealed an altered and new world. Where tall elms once stood now stand saguaro cacti. Where pines used to grow near the brook now sprout joshua trees. From Concord to Atlantic Offices, the landscape has been transformed into that of an old western. Something akin to what you'd see on the west coast. The sun now scorches hotter and the earth has been forever changed, and the Commonwealth is a blistering example and reminder of mankinds mistakes. This mod is a spiritual successor to the now dead Dustbowl Overhaul. Desperados Overhaul features new, realistic desert flora, complete with full LOD's and various extra details. It also includes high quality landscape and rock textures for everything needed to make the world feel like a true Mojave in Boston. Strap on your spurs, and grab your big iron, this ain't no nuclear winter, Desperado.

Combing through the entire Commonwealth just to make it a believable arid desert is one Feat. Changing the Glowing Sea into a healthy (radioactive) green forest is another. This looks outstanding, can't wait to see any future updates for it.

Dummy Settler: Honey, Kids I know we just travelled miles of wasteland for a new home, but here it is. Are new Paradise!

Looks really great. I definitely get more of that original Fallout 1/2 vibe. Way more fitting for Fallout than what we got with Fallout 4 imho.

I am so happy that this is coming out. I loved dustbowl overhaul immensely and I was very sad when it was removed. I can't wait for this mod to make its way into my game!

Since trees are being removed, how are precombines affected? Just full "turn off" or did you recombine every affected section of the world like a madman?

You know you are completely and totally and extremely BORED of fallout 4 when you redesign every exterior cell in the game world. There is still LODgen program but still you would have to sit through hours and hours of the CK to place everything. I really hope starfield doesn't suck because I too am completely and totally and extremely bored of fallout 4. Bionicles in F76 ain't gonna convince me to play that hot mess, beth needs to release something besides a cell phone game this year.

I'm working with another modder to have the worlds precombines completely rebuilt, which is a win for performance, but a loss for compatibility.

Worst thing to happen is it'll need to be loaded before any world space editing mods, and just let those override (and break the precombines for the affected areas) right?

that's what happens when two mods generate precombines for the same cell, they just end up disabling the combines for that specific cell, yeah?

You can always make a compatibility patch for precombines though.
