Hey, excellent, well-needed mod, thank you! Just curious though, whenever I try to use the recipe that takes 5 leather to make adhesive, I make one "batch", but then it instantly switches to the one that takes bone instead. I'm forced, between "batches", to keep clicking up, and then back down to the same recipe to keep making more of the same. Does anyone have a remedy to this?
Sorry for the terribly late reply. I am no longer working on this mod, but I do know the issue you are referring to. I am quite annoyed with it myself, and sadly I don't know a solution. I attempted to fix it for a time, but was defeated by the bug. If anyone knows how to fix it feel free to take my file as a base. No credit to me required. Use this mod however you wish.
I was wondering if you had considered making the recipes call for Resources rather than Items. For example, instead of using "Deathclaw hide" or "skull" to craft "Animal Glue," you just use "Bone" and "Leather" resources to craft "Adhesive" Resources. I honestly thought it a bit of a waste to have a HUGE list of different versions of the SAME recipe. If 10 different items give the exact same resource, just in different amounts, and give you the exact same resource, just in different amounts, why not just use the resources directly? Would certainly make the Utility list MUCH shorter again.
That is a good idea, and if you can figure out how to make it happen then you may use my file as a base. This was my first mod and I had no practice with making mods or coding of any sort before this. Your idea would shorten the list but it would still be a fairly long one since you would need to add all the resource output amounts as their own recipe, but since some things would have the same outputs it would shorten the list. Once again though, you have my permission to do this with my file as the base if you would like. I simply just do not have the skills to perform such a task. Thank you for your suggestion though.
I know the post was kind of old but if you just make the recipe call for the existing generic bone resource, which uses the code 000AEC5D, you can make it so say 5 bone makes 5 adhesive or whatever you think the balance should be. The way the crafting benches work makes it so any clutter items are automatically scrapped into their appropriate resource as they're needed, so if you made one recipe that called for generic bones it would mean ANY item that gave the bone resource could be used. That way you would only need two recipes to cover ALL of the bone glue and leather glue.
Ya I apologize for that. Would you like another version uploaded with a leather recipe as well? I thought people felt the old version was too OP. My bad
I'm actually working on a much better version right now, and have been for a few minutes now. This one should make you much happier if all goes according to plan. Hopefully everyone likes it!
Cool. I wasn't aiming that comment at you, I was kind of annoyed because I kind of liked how "OP" the mod was before.. and then someone in the comments section had to say something, lol.
Well tell me what you think about the new version. I don't mind the angry comments, as long as they are at least a little constructive. Thanks for your input.
Just added a bunch more pictures. I thought it was about time to add more than just 3 pictures since this mod has added way more recipes than that for quite some time now.
here is something plastic could be used to make Adhesive. just melt it, same for rubber, ect theirs so many ways to make items that bond to other things.

I know nothing *yet* about FO4 modding, otherwise I would do this myself.
IDEAS:
1 Dirty Water
1 Pumpkin
..... = 3 Adhesives
1 Razorgrain
1 Dirty Water
.... = 3 Adhesives
1 Carrot
1 Dirty Water
.... = 3 Adhesives
* Add 1 Bone to each and increases to 5.
* Add 1 Superglue to each of the above and increases to 8
The above do make natural paste / glue and thus would use the other items.
