Okay so this mod and Load Accelerator by hippo go hand in hand. This is how good your mod is g10stpd. 1. Before I installed this mod, it would take 20 shots to kill a Radroach at close range, VATS was useless, and Long Range attacks were pointless + 2. On top of that people have reported that Load Accelerator by hippo made the Aiming/Mouse worst and I use a Mousepad so that is bad enough = 3. I didn't notice the effects of hippo's Mod cause I install your mod and hippo's Mod at the same time and now my Aiming is so Much better, Long Range Headshots happen and VATS is better. (I don't remember what my Perception was like before, but my Aiming is more accurate and so is my Loading Time)
Thank You both for your Mods as for NPCs are you referring to Foes or Allies cause Foes already aim good.
The new version (DisableAutoAimF4) has fAutoAimMaxDegrees 0.1 fAutoAimMaxDegrees3rdPerson 0.1 fAutoAimMaxDistance 64000 fAutoAimScreenPercentage -1
The old version of the mod (ImprovedAutoAim) had the following: fAutoAimMaxDegrees (default: 1) fAutoAimMaxDegrees3rdPerson (default: 2) fAutoAimMaxDistance 6400 fAutoAimScreenPercentage 1
I think fAutoAimScreenPercentage -1 is the key to it being what we consider disabled. I think it leaves it on but just leaves it ineffective.
The new version (DisableAutoAimF4) has fAutoAimMaxDegrees 0.1 fAutoAimMaxDegrees3rdPerson 0.1 fAutoAimMaxDistance 64000 fAutoAimScreenPercentage -1
Im using a modified setup: fAutoAimMaxDegrees 0.0000 fAutoAimMaxDegrees3rdPerson 0.0000 fAutoAimMaxDistance 64000 fAutoAimScreenPercentage 0.0000 This will force the game to totally disable auto-aim. I can recommend to also use and play around with the GECK wiki.
wait, i'm confused, this game does not have this feature, i'm new to this game and i was looking for an auto aim mod because i use controller on pc, but it seems to exist for keyboard and mouse players WTF?
it doesn't work for controller, but it works for keyboard and mouse...... is this yet another bugthesda moment?
Wrong. It does have auto aim ONLY for controller using pc players. Its quite significant and annoying hence me being here in the comments. Just because you personally aren't noticing it doesn't make it vanish lol. Weird logic bro
well i played the game for over a year and i could never get the auto aim that allegedly is present to work, eventually i just played the game like normal with really bad aiming lol.
unless your talking about VATS, yeah that does the auto aim, but without VATS i never had any auto aim. i was trying to play without VATS because i didn't like using it's clunky setup.
I swore I had endorsed this mod, but here it was, unendorsed when I came to re-download. This really should be rated higher. Without this mod in 3rd person, I have to aim 3ft to the right of any enemy in melee or mid-range. I'm using a DS3 controller with SCP Server and this mod works without any adjusting.
i have the same problem, i using dualshock 4 steam with gyro to aim, and auto aim is such a mess for precise aim like the gyro, i need disable this thing.
In my case, the supplied values didn't really work.
Played around with them a bit. Negative values actually repelled the cursor, but only sometimes. Weird. Ultimately ended up flagging the entry to be ignored, and that seems to have gotten rid of it for good.
So if you're having trouble, maybe give that a try.
Thank you g10stpd, you are a god. I don't know how this doesn't bother more people.
It works good, but for some reason after playing a while i get a crash, and when i reenter the game i have to re-enable the mod... but the mod its great, hope u can fix this things :P
This mod did not have Fallout4.esm as a master therefore it' probably doesn't work. Down below is the .esp updated with the master and ESL flag added too so that it doesn't take up a .esp slot. DisableAutoAimF4.esp the changes are as follows, used FO4Edit: 1. copy as override original game settings into a new .esp file with the ESL flag thus not taking up a plugin slot and adding the master. 2. changed them to the original mods settings.
don't work for me... what i missing? i using dualshock 4 steam with gyro to aim, and auto aim is such a mess for precise aim like the gyro, i need disable this thing.
It's subtle but it's there, more so in third person. Grab a laser weapon, go third person, aim just off to the side of a tree, you'll see that the beam hits the tree regardless of where the crosshair is. The game likes to "guess" at what you're shooting at. This happens a lot when trying to shoot through narrow places, like through window frames.
then it's obvious you're not playing as a sniper, sometimes when i aim exactly in the middle of a NPC's head, i miss multiple times when sniping, with Auto aim disabled i always hit dead on.
I've been playing almost entirely as a sniper character since the game launched lol
I understand what you guys are talking about, I just don't really think it makes sense to call that "auto-aim". It's not helping you to hit the target, which is what I think of when I think of auto-aim. It's just creating a hitbox that has a bit of a spread, which I think is quite a bit more realistic than 100% pinpoint accuracy.
Could you possibly make a video demonstrating the existence of auto-aim? Because in the tests I ran there is no auto-aim. In my tests my bullet's trajectory is perfectly where you are aiming. As in if your crosshairs aren't on the enemy it won't hit them.
There's only been a few times in unmodded game I felt it may be there. There variables are there, so we can only assume it exists. As to what settings work best, we may not know until the GECK is released. I tried to mod a rifle yesterday to eliminate bullet spread but can't because the modding tools are incomplete and give 'unknown' values.
I've not felt it at all, Keyboard/Mouse as controls. I've even had shots miss by mere inches because my aim was off. For example. Aiming Gauss Rifle at a Raider chilling in a chair, aiming just a bit off due to the guns wiggling, fire, and it shaves 3 hairs off of his head. Then he was all "Whats that!? OH LOOK" *Pews rocket launcher into my face-hole*

fAutoAimMaxDegrees (default: 1)
fAutoAimMaxDegrees3rdPerson (default: 2)
fAutoAimMaxDistance (default: 4000)

fAutoAimMaxDegrees3rdPerson (default: 2)
fAutoAimMaxDistance 6400
fAutoAimScreenPercentage 1
are these in the fallout ini? and how do I mess with them to figure this out too?
my autoexec.txt has the following:
gr grid 12
gr scale .8
gr maxcascade 1
cl off
fov 80 100
setgs fAutoAimMaxDegrees 0.1
setgs fAutoAimMaxDegrees3rdPerson 0.1
setgs fAutoAimMaxDistance 64000
setgs fAutoAimScreenPercentage 1
Now open up Fallout4Custom.ini and add the following:
[General]
sStartingConsoleCommand=bat autoexec
you can tell if this worked by opening up the console ~`and seeing if it's got a bunch of stuff in it already.
fAutoAimMaxDegrees 0.0000
fAutoAimMaxDegrees3rdPerson 0.0000
fAutoAimMaxDistance 64000
fAutoAimScreenPercentage 0.0000

Does it need updating to the latest version of the game or something?
No, I won't use the mouse and keyboard, so shush. It's a comfort thing and I'm perfectly competent with aiming, shooting and moving.
Anybody have a solution please? I'm getting severely annoyed with this casual bullshit this game is forcing upon me.

The videos of the autoaim in Skyrim were very conclusive, and one should assume that if there is no evidence of autoaim it should not exist.
