Mary Jane is unvoiced for most people I think (lots of comments about it), even though her mouth moves while talking to her; the sound files are there, but somehow not applied. Why make a tutorial and not just fix her voice or do both in case someone wants their own custom voice? Is there something about the situation that is unique for certain players and this is the only way?
i went to the official mod page and found that the players on the xbox version have a voiced version of her but for the PC players, we don't get that treatment for some unknown reason, i went into the bugs section and there is a post talking about this when the mod was released back in 2020 talking about this issue and the author said it was coming soon at the timeline of 2020, and it turns out 5 years later there is still no voice files.
i mean i left a comment talking about just using elevenlabs tts just to give her a voice and thought as a community to be willing to pitch in the money to make it happen, i got no response yet.
like idk if the author is still working on the mod or not, but every once in a while i see updates but none of them solve the voice situation so idk what's happening.
i guess this modder is making tutorial videos for other folks to make the voice files themselves as a subtle nod to the mod author of the Mary Jane mod how it's done or helping others make the files themselves.
That could be true, didn't think of that. It would be a great companion if it weren't for the no voice which is why I haven't played with her yet, since I wouldn't want to ruin the experience. Although, for some misogynists she is the ideal female companion because she's muted. Maybe if he can't fix the voice he can add a command to tell her to get in the kitchen and make you a sandwich (JK).
