- The targeting module will make you hostile with some neutral NPCs like Kellogg and others. If you prefer to talk your way out of bad situations turn it off before they spot you.
- The suit doesn't offer ballistic weave support because that's a modification only the Railroad uses and the Institute would never have adapted it. (plus having 200 armor is kinda OP)
- Also the suit takes up all the armor slots because well ... it's the Institute's version of a power armor and it made sense to not allow extra parts to be worn with it. The extra modules are there to compensate for that. And of course the fusion cores that boost the stats significantly.
But ... added a version that allows Ballistic Weave and doesn't take up any armor slots. Under optional.
Thank you so much for all your support and engagement in this mod!
If you are having any kind of issue please try these: * Weird textures on body -> This mod is only compatible with CBBE body textures. * Missing body, purple textures -> Make sure your ini files contain the lines mentioned in the description. * Missing recipes from chem station -> Make sure DX Courser X-92 Power Suit.esp is enabled and run the game from NMM.
my main gripe is that there is no way to quickly unequip the extra items like the night vision and targeting modules. having to sift through my inventory every time i want to unequip one which is quite a lot, becomes insanely irritating
FYI if it does not work in NG version the limit of 256 BA2 archives might been reached. You then have to unpack the BA2 and install it as loose files. Buffout fixed the limit in earlier FO4 but has as today 12/092024 not found a solution. Until the limit is fixed you have to manually check your BA2 count in the FO4 directory.
edit-Just realized that this mod is already in loose files. Sorry should have checked before open my mouth.
This was what made me go fom 500+ mods to a mare 230 mods. There is a BA2 unpacker on the Bethesdas page, official tool, just remember loose files always has priority over BA2 files so don't go crazy and unpack every mod's BA2 :-)
I am just posting this as I believe there is a mod conflict with the CBBE bodyslide compatibility mod by ousnius. It prevents the unrestricted version of the mod from working correctly and thus you cannot mod it with ballistic weave or put armour pieces over it.
EDIT: A Little more testing showed that it was just a matter of deleting the unrestricted version and then reinstalling it so that it would force load after the initial mod and thus overwrite it instead of being overwritten itself. There may be a better way of doing this but mo2 doesn;t allow you to easily move around downloaded mods only the plugins and since they both register under the same plugin...
I'm having trouble getting the no restrictions mod to work, as I don't want it to count as armor due to its low specs. Has anyone had any luck on getting it to work?
Love the look, unfortunately, since I can't put armor over it (imagine how stylish it'd look with Marine armor on), it's unlikely that I'd be wearing it.
I was thinking the same thing. I love the overall mod, really cool but that chest size is a bit much for me.
EDIT: ok looking around people are mentioning that bodyslide can reduce the size. Going to check and see if I can get that to work and report back.
EDIT 2: Can confirm Bodyslide edit works.
Step 1) Download this mod - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9599/?tab=description
Step 2) Watch this video to learn how to use BodySlide studio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wkwtgp3x25s&t=6s
It took a little trial and error but make sure you watch the video or you might miss some important info. I was able to get the body style to the one I wanted.
