As the original question was made moot, let's edit in a different one:
I'm running the NeG (pretty much to see if you CAN) but use NixGen to cut out that forced crap. I can say crap because when I tried Best of Three everything worked until I tried to pick up the Tesla Cannon and had an instant CTD.
My question is this. If I keep the NeG CC crud nixed, can I just run the regular Weightless Crafting?
Yes you can use the regular version, if however you plan on building settlements, you are going to have to toggle God Mode / tgm in the console and then toggle it off when you are finished or else you may not be able to build or place anything.
1) If I go with the no perks version, is that the optional file in itself or the main file with the optional installed after? 2) will that work despite my using the Creative Perks Overhaul? 3) I was able to craft and place normally using the regular Weightless Crafting, but now the question is, "Will the Neg version even work since I use NixGen?"
1. My bad for not clarifying that you only need to pick one of the files for example the main will only remove the item requirements but not the perks. If you want to remove both you can install the main file first and then the optional on top in your load order.
2. Likely not since this assumes that you don't have mods that alter the perk tree at all.
3. The all the files where made on the NG version, the reason why I put the name on it is so that it will cover the free CC content that came with the update and the regular ones that don't have the CC content at all don't get the NG name.
My concern was that NixGen, in negating those things, would lead to a conflict. As it happens, the NeG version causes crash-on-load. The OG version does not. I don't blame your mod or NixGen, I just acknowledge that two mods striving to impact the same items in the game can do this sort of thing.
Thank you for downloading the mod and giving it a try. Long story short I tried to go back to old gen but ran into loads of issues and so I had no choice but to mod only on Next Gen. the same is true for Skyrim and other games.
Yeah it shouldn't take too long to make a version that can remove the perks. However I noticed that it messes the settlement building so you are going to have to use God Mode to fix that.
Quick report after adding mod. cooking perfect, weapons perfect, nuka cola machine perfect, chem station perfect. armour - obv works but adds triple menu selections build menu -items are there but I can't build anything at all.

I'm trying to have a hard start, but have access to everything on the table.
Also, does this also make it so building a craft bench or vendor stall not require perks?
Mod updated and thank you for the idea!
