Version 2 Fixes:
I was using 5133p39's fantastic Keep Robot Curie mod and found myself a little bummed that Curie looks like a standard Miss Nanny. She's a unique little bot! - The plugin is now correctly flagged as an ESL
(i think) - Despite checking like, ten times that all the folders were correct the .nif material path escaped me, that's now been fixed. Hurray!
- The mod now uses the Unofficial Patch version of Curie. (admittedly i'm not 100% sure how this'll affect the next-gen update? lemme know!)
- Added an optional file that removes the post-it note on Curie's chassis, in case you'd prefer not to use it!
Not only was she provided to Vault 81 for a specific purpose, but she's been slowly upgraded over her lifetime, and yet.. None of that shows up in her design!
So, I gave Curie a little robot facelift with the aim to better highlight two aspects of her character:
1. Vault Tec had some hand in how Curie operates, seeing as they describe her as an important piece of medical equipment even before being upgraded.
2. The scientists of Vault 81 spent a long time tinkering with Curie, including giving her a unique personality! That love should show somewhere.
I was inspired by Fallout Shelter Online's depiction of Curie, with the red stripes and the black triangle below her central eye, as well as the Medic Protectron! I wanted to make it clear that Curie was an advanced medical robot beyond a standard Miss Nanny, while keeping some elements from FSO's really cool design of her.
I don't think this mod should conflict with any other Curie mods? It specifically adds a new decal on top of her original textures, so texture overhauls shouldn't affect the new additions. But.. This is also the first mod I'm putting online, so I have no clue xD
Currently, this mod only works for saves where you haven't met Curie in Vault 81, or by adding the decal to Curie using the Robot Workbench. I'm not sure how to add a decal to an unmodified Curie if you've already met her (if that's even possible) if somebody knows please let me know, I'll jump up and down for joy.
