Update 1.2 fixed an issue with the revolver to where it did not have the desired effect. It should respawn but if you have found the weapon in a previous version it may be a good idea to load a save before you found it if the new version is not there.
The gun is NOT placed in a container.
Some of the mod picture captions may have extra hints/lore from the stalker's camera
You will need to search to actually find the notes, they are very similar to base game scenes.
I do not know about any compatibility issues, but I tried to avoid densely edited regions.
