Finally, Bunker Hill looks like something other than a degenerate abandoned pile of mud.
Over the 200 years since the great war, survivors collectivized and built up an actual settlement township around the monument and surrounding area, making use of construction equipment, military stashes, the docks nearby and being so close to the sea while having access to the cities tunnel systems and amenities underneath, former settlers turned Bunker Hill into a water baron central location that eventually turned Bunker Hill into the marketplace that many stop off at on their journey and some have even moved into the nearby buildings repopulating the area.
This Mod Does:
- Renovates NPC buildings/shops medical, bar, mayor's house, caravan guard hostel-tree house, making them all look as if people could actually occupy them.
- Overhauls the Marketplace, making it look like something scavers and settlers would visit while also being worth raiders time trying to extort.
- Added water baron prop features.
- Added Stockton private area.
- Added a few farmland plots, chickens and chicken coops, making a logical self-sustained source of food and reason for people to be living here.
- Added a farm barn and Bunker Hill equipment storage area.
- Added a Jerry rigged wind turbine, settlers possibly scavenged from a barge or hubs comics basement many years ago, justifying the already existing electric lighting.
- Added many showers and toilets as the settlement has access to the tapped city water system.
- Added a septic tank gas extraction system, it probably stinks like crap.
- Added a randomized trader to the outside shop that is now inside the greater Bunker hill township.
- Added beefed Bunker Hill defenses, improved with city infrastructure that the city no longer needed.
- Added Guard shacks with short range radios around the township with "workshop-settler-guards''.
- Added static doors to buildings to make it look as if people live around Bunker Hill in the township, "re-population".
- Added a small patched up dock, the settlers apparently use for transport.
- Added an actual caravan hitching zone... You know, the thing that the caravan hub of the commonwealth should have.
- Added a lot of stuff, but not too much that might make it seem stupid, just enough to make Bunker Hill look like a well lived in, protected trading, caravan hub that raiders would target.
- Moved mission spawn, NPC idle and store markers to properly line up with the settlement.
- Significantly increased workshop build area.
Also:
- I redid the Nav-Mesh in places where it was needed for new building and ground layouts.
- I did not use Creation Kits terrain tools, I just layered dirt road to avoid damaging stuff.
- Everything added is from the base game and DLC's, so everything is lore friendly and how the mod is able to be so small.
- This mod aesthetically upgrades the image of Bunker Hill, making the township worth your time working with, becoming allied with or invading.
- Places like Bunker hill should be self-sustained, built up township/settlements that already survived without the player building every little thing for them.
Notes:
- Best to use on a new play through or one where you have not been into the grid/cell area of Bunker hill yet.
- If you use PRP, you'll probably have to load this after it as with other location edit mods.
- This mod was made with pre-next-gen Creation kit and FO4 - version 1.10.163.0
- No other mods are needed. only the base game and all pre-next-gen DLC's excluding Bethesda's "HD texture Pack DLC".
UPDATE:
I have added a second file/esp in optional files for use with Mutant Menageries.
Only use this file if you also use or have started using Mutant Menageries with Retr0Nexus Bunker Hill.
Only use this or the main file, both are named the same, this is a replacement not a patch.
This moves the MM stand out of the way of the bar door.
