About this mod

Use a massive, actually moving press machine to physically crush weapons, armor, and junk into scrap and reclaim components.

Build the Scrap Press Machine at your settlement workshop and scrap items. As shown in the video above, the machine actually moves, quickly crushing not only junk but also weapons and armor, converting them into components.
The machine calculates and returns the exact amount of materials from scrapped items, based on the same quantities you would obtain when dismantling them at a workbench.

Note:
This mod operates with limited functionality for next-gen users. Users on the NG version can only scrap junk, and are unable to scrap weapons or armor.

Version 1.1 Update:
An issue causing CTD during scrapping attempts due to equipment attachment state has been fixed.

To use the press machine, first enter build mode in the workshop. Then, find the Scrap Press Machine under the Resources > Miscellaneous tab and build it.

To start scrapping, activate the door on the left. The door will open, and the machine will be ready to accept items. Transfer the items you want to scrap into the open container menu, then close it. Watch the machine crush the items, and retrieve the components from the storage compartment on the right side of the machine.

The machine will classify and move items that cannot be scrapped, or items that cannot yield any materials even if scrapped, into the storage compartment before it crushes the other items.

Look to the far right of the machine. There is a machine control port, which is not just decorative but allows you to control the machine. When you align your cursor correctly, an activation point will appear, and selecting it will bring up a menu on your Pip-Boy with three settings options:

Press Operation Speed: Not everyone wants a heavy, powerful machine. This option allows the machine to operate at its default speed or complete the scrapping process at more than twice the speed.

Unscrapable Item Handling: You can enable the option to dismantle items that have the "unscrapable" keyword.
Note: The machine cannot detect the "unscrapable" keyword added by attachments on weapons and armor. Please be cautious.

Send Components to Workshop: After scrapping, the components will be sent directly to the workshop storage container, while non-components will remain in the storage compartment.

Note:
- The machine's movement relies on scripts rather than bones, so it cannot naturally handle position changes caused by console commands. If the machine is moved using console commands, make sure to select the machine in workshop build mode, grab it, and then place it back down.
- The machine control settings are applied individually to each machine, not globally across the game.
- During the scrapping process, you will not be able to control other machines until the process is complete.

Although it's an ESP file, it has the ESL flag set, so it behaves like an ESL file, meaning you don't have to worry about exceeding the index limit when adding the mod.
