When choosing files to link remember to make sure to only link folders and files that will not have dynamic changes. If the internal files change between game instances it will apply to both games. I only recommend linking files and folders you know do not get updated by the game.
Addendum: I have added a generic file and folder structure for testing SymLink use. I recommend testing all features on test files to become familiar with it's usage.
