This mod does not require any additional mods and works seamlessly on any game version.

In this mod, you can unlock doors and containers using the exclusive "Smash Unlock Hammer." While similar mods may exist, this one places a greater emphasis on stunning effects.
When you strike a lock with the hammer, a powerful explosion effect occurs, and for containers, they gradually twist and shift their angle. Most doors, except for a few, will show visible signs of impact from the hammer. With the strongest of the three hammer tiers, you can even knock doors down, causing them to fall flat onto the ground.
While this mod is most dramatic in third-person view, you can still experience a satisfying level of impact effect even in first-person mode.

This mod prioritizes both stunning effects and user convenience. Even when you're not holding the hammer, as long as it's in your inventory, the key to unlock with the hammer will become active when you hover the cursor over the lock. Pressing the key will swap your current weapon for the hammer, and pressing it again will swing the hammer to unlock. If the lock is successfully opened, the hammer will automatically unequip, and your original weapon will be equipped again.

The Smash Unlock Hammer comes in three tiers. The first-tier hammer can be found near the three containers at the exit of Vault 111. The remaining two tiers are granted automatically at level 10 and level 20, or they can be crafted at the Chemistry Station if you'd like to acquire them sooner.

In the MCM's "Smash Unlock Hammer" menu, a few settings can be adjusted. However, most users won't need to adjust these and can use the mod in its default state. That said, we've included some mod-related information in the MCM, so feel free to check it out if you're interested.

However, due to user preferences, I will explain just one of the MCM options here.
"Key Configuration Change": By default, pressing the "E" key swings the hammer to unlock. When in sneak mode, the usual lockpicking menu appears. However, when this option is enabled, the "E" key will function as the traditional lockpicking key, and the hammer will be assigned to the "F" key or another key.

Note: The "Leveled Lock" can only be unlocked with the highest-tier hammer. There are likely 2 or 3 of these in Fallout 4's vanilla content, with one of them being the wall safe located at the "South Boston Military Checkpoint."
Additionally, using the hammer during combat may sometimes cause freezing. If this happens frequently, we recommend using the excellent mod "Escape Freeze F4SE" to resolve the issue, or enabling the "Weapon Swap Freeze Prevention Option" in the MCM settings.
