About this mod

A simple mod that adds new Shop workshop crafting items - this way you can use a pre-existing bar, countertop, or a counter you have created, to work as a settlement bar, or store, or restaurant, or clinic. (This new version adds several new options.)

v2.1
Fixed the Restaurant - now the worker will go to the mat!  Thanks for your patience.

v2.0
This mod adds several new items to the workshop under the settlement shops section - they are just markers for where you want your shop worker or bartender to face the bar or counter you're using (I used the same .nif as the welcome mat already included in the game).  You place the welcome mat behind any bar or countertop that you like - then assign an unemployed settler - voila!!  Now the settler will stand behind the custom counter or bar of your choosing, and serve up tasty beverages and snacks to you and your fellow settlers (or sell guns, or chems, or other wares - just like they do with the regular workshop shops)!

I created this mod, because there are several settlement countertops and/or locations, that I thought would make a great bar or shop - a place for the settlers to hang out at night time, or a place to buy and sell gear.  I wanted to be able to assign the bartender or salesman to a different countertop than the boxy stand that is made when you craft a normal settlement shop.

VERSION 2.0 IS A BIG IMPROVEMENT AND UPGRADE TO THE PREVIOUS VERSIONS - IF YOU'VE USED THIS MOD BEFORE, PLEASE READ:

The previous versions were extremely buggy, in that if you placed the marker behind a countertop - any person or animal that walked over it would kick it around - it would not stay in place.  I found a way to fix this by using the welcome mat, as opposed to the home plate.

ALSO - this new version includes several new shops - two versions of almost all types (I think I left out ammo, but we might be able to add that later).  So if you prefer to have a full restaurant instead of a bar for your settlers to mingle around, this will do it.  Or if you want an emporium (or several) behind the counter at Covenant, or many of the counters in Sanctuary, or any settlement counter (even if you build it yourself), you can now do so.

See the recent images I've added for correct placement - you need to place the marker mat behind the counter with the straight edge lined up with the counter (the curved edge should be facing out) - wherever you place the mat - when you assign a settler s/he will stand exactly on that mat.  If you have it placed correctly s/he will face he counter with hands on the surface, and will clean the countertop from time to time.  PLEASE ALSO DISREGARD THE IMAGES THAT SHOW THE OLD 'HOME PLATE' PLACE MARKER - THE IMAGES ARE STILL RELEVANT TO SHOW HOW THE MOD WORKS, BUT THE 'HOME PLATE' MARKER HAS BEEN REPLACED BY A 'WELCOME MAT'.

v1.1
A simple mod that adds a "Counter Bar" workshop item - this way you can use a pre-existing bar, countertop, or a counter you have created, to work as a settlement bar.

v1.0
A simple mod that replaces the "Bar" shop crafting item with a "Counter Bar"...

This is my first mod, so go easy on me!!

I created this mod, because there are several settlement countertops and/or locations, that I thought would make a great bar - a place for the settlers to hang out at night time.  I wanted to be able to assign the bartender to a different countertop than the box that is made when you craft a normal settlement bar.

This mod changes the "Bar" selection within the workshop to a home plate marker

This mod adds a new item to the workshop called "Counter Bar" - which is just a marker for where you want your bartender to face the bar or counter you're using (I used the same .nif as the home plate already included in the game).  You place the home plate behind any bar or countertop that you like - then assign an unemployed settler - voila!!  Now the bartender will stand behind the custom counter or bar of your choosing, and serve up tasty beverages and snacks to you and your fellow settlers.
