Tales from the Commonwealth: Just a reminder I will not be providing support or visiting/replying to comments on this page, because it's easier for me to manage all my mods from a single website, one that also happens to have a mini-wiki that will answer many basic questions for you.
Wiki for TFTC Here you will find info on quests and companions as well as random NPC encounters. It is also recommended you play the Fallout 3 Mods (bundle download from the header) for additional backstory on NPCs, in particular companions Audrey and R4-04.
The Built-In Quest/Location Finder: You don't need to rely on the wiki, however, or random chance. There is an easy way to find many of the quests and locations in the mod (although not all of them). It's by completing the short, You've Got Mail quest by visiting the post office in Nahant. The reward you get for completing it will put many other locations on your map.
Bug Report, Troubleshooting, and General Help Section Any bug reports or troubleshooting questions should be searched for before being asked. If your question is new or you can't find an appropriate answer in the database (or the wiki) then feel free to ask a new one. I will get an email notification and answer within 24 hours.
Notes on Atomic Radio: I had to take down the file with custom music, will upload a safe version with only vanilla music, to add your custom tracks, you'll need to enable loose files and add tracks 01.wav, 02.wav, all the way to 44.wav (or 01.xwm if WAV isn't working for you) to this folder:
Data\Sound\fx\mus\radio\atomicradio\FM\
***If you want to download the version with custom music added, you have to go to, you guessed it, http://3dnpc.com.***
Twitter: If you like, you can follow me on twitter here. Nothing to do with mods though. I'll also be posting some trailers and content on my Patreon page.
I am having an issue where all subtitles in and in the immediate vicinity around the Boston Bordello disappear almost immediately. As I am hearing impaired I am missing a lot of the dialogue is there any way to fix this? Thanks.
Loving the mod so far but also part of another post: I've encountered smokescreen and he is unkillable. He just stands there and takes bullets like a sponge lol.
Smokescreen is a friendly Atomcat. You are not supposed to kill her. She wants to have a race with you in power armor. Are you hip to the challenge? Groovy!
If anyone runs into an issue with Like A Goodneighbor where (A) the quest in your Pip-boy still says to get a ghoul mask even though you already have one, and (B) doesn't tell you who you're supposed to rob in Goodneighbor, first of all, it's Freed Allen. Secondly, you can use this console command to force the game to accept the fact that you do in fact have the mask:
SetStage f3dnpc_RaiderMiscquest 20 Sorry if this has already been addressed in the thousands of posts in this thread. I did do a search and all I found was someone having a similar issue with the Diamond City part of this. If that's anyone's issue, I recommend typing ShowQuestStages f3dnpc_RaiderMiscquest, and then incrementally SetStage-ing anything "(not set)" incrementally one at a time, then seeing if it makes a difference after each one.
so before i reinstalled tales i could always find and recruit Viincent in Amellia's espresso but for some reason i cant find him there anymore, does anybody know where to find him if not in Amellia's Espresso or.. what his ref id is so i can move him to me with console commands
That character was removed from the latest version of Tales because of a real-life true crimes issue. Kris did not elaborate on it. I was able to satisfy my morbid curiosity with a Google search.
Sorry about this possibly silly question, but is there somewhere I need to go in the Commonwealth in order to "activate" the radio station? So far I can only receive Diamond City, Classical and the usual transmissions that pop up everywhere.
I'm also running Sim Settlements 2 and a couple other quest mods, but LOOT said the load order is fine. I just wanna listen to this nuked-out radio station everyone is lauding.
Full Exposure Quest. Need to find two locations: Wildwood cemetery and a church near a park. I looked at a church near a park, but it wasn't the right one. There's no quest markers. I guess I'll google it, but would be nice to have quest markers instead of running all over the map thinking I know where it is.
Many Fallout 4 locations can be found by simply Googling them. For instance, type in Wildwood Cemetery, and one of the Fallout 4 Wikis will pop up with info and maps. For quests, take the map perk and use the Q key to help illuminate the way.
Also, if you have the Heather Casdin Companion, you will have already found Wildwood Cemetery as her bunker is located there.
I found the cemetery. Checked the graves, the baby carriage, the what-cha-ma-call-em buildings (one I didn't know opened, went over that one special). Got a lot of scrap, the magazine, and some glowing fungus and tears from crying because I got nothing. And there's two churches, one in Hyde Park to the west, and the other the more complex one in Jamaca Plains. Found nothing. Please help.
Found the Noon Day Priest Tomb. Not a Tomb, it's a headstone. Kinda... misleading. So you're spoused to look for similar headstones and, according to the Denton note, break them? Or break every headstone in the cemetery? or look around the headstone for a key? Or dig? Wasted a whole game day doing that. Too cleaver for me. I guess you guys can laugh at the players now. Gonna go find a thuggysmurf mod.

Heavy dialogue options, multiple endings, and choices throughout. Basically if you like TFTC you might enjoy this as well.
