Wow, 500 1000 downloads. I never expected that. Thanks everyone. I'm like a real person now.
The full auto version is now released. I tried to keep it balanced so its not as powerful as the semi receiver.
I wanted to learn how to use FOMOD with conditional installs so this updated is a little unconventional. I made multiple esp's. Which one is used depends on what you select in the installer. If you are updating, be sure to select that option or you will have missing content.
Love the mod. I have to ask. Why is the 5.56 sporting 'Inferior Range' compared to a pistol round? It should be at least better a little. Damage and recoil both make sense. I would make an attempt to peak in FO4Edit, but it's been years since I used the G.E.C.K. So I'm not much help here.
Maybe lower the damage of the auto receiver to like 60-ish, then make it so it can come back up to 68 with a better receiver. Keep the semi auto receiver damage though, that's balanced well.
I'd like to see a .308 automatic receiver on the combat rifle. This mod is great and doesn't conflict with my other mods. Other modders should make their weapon modding mods modular so you could choose whivh parts you want , or in case that you already have a weapon modding mod, choose the ones that don't conflict with the earlier mod. Great work!
To Fight9 1. Pardon my English - I know it's bad. 2. This mod is just what I need. In my opinion 5.56 fits Combat Rifle much better than .45 ACP. 3. How about an additional 5 mm recievers (both Semi- and Full-Auto)? As I imagine, it should have less damage (than 5.56) but better recoil and armor penetration plus slightly less AP cost per shot in VATS. 4. Is it possible to make recievers look diffirent? At least by using variations of a standard model with diffirent textures (i.e. engraved words like... ugh "Combat Rifle, Cal. 5.56" or "Combat Rifle, Cal. 0.308"?
Thank you! I thought it was the dumbest thing that a combat "rifle" was firing a pistol cartridge as the default. Did Bethesda do any research for this game?!?! The combat rifle is modeled after the BAR which fires 30-06, but I could see some kind of alternate history where the US made a 5.56 version.
According to the game files the original "Assault Rifle" is actually named Machine Gun, suggesting it was probably not intended to fill the role it does in-game. Whether Bethesda was too lazy (more than likely knowing them) or just couldn't come up with a better design (unlikely as there is a Chinese Assault Rifle floating around in those game files too) for an assault rifle. Also thanks for this, using .45 rounds was getting on my nerves.
Honestly, judging by the look, it's possible the Combat Rifle was supposed to be a kind of AK-112 Replacement (Bethesda wanted to go back to a FO 1 and 2 type art style if i remember). Regardless of the weird ammo and names, somebody clearly derped during development, probably after the cutting of the Chinese Rifle.
Combat Rifle is probably my favorite weapon, though I didn't like the design much(too much like the combat shotty) but with the G67 combat rifle replacer, your mod makes it great for me! Thanks XD
