A mod made at the request of a friend
In Lexington right next to the Red Rocket Station you will find a not so inconspicuous entrance to the interior of a building there. Within you will find a strange machine with some sort of entity behind its' cracked glass. Interact with the terminal there to begin!
This mod is intended to be its own kind of "game mode", inspired by the game Lethal Company. This mod is intended to be played where you are primarily focused on it, and is well suited to be played with other mods like Frost, and other sandbox scenarios etc, but of course can be played in any mod-list.
Objective: The Objective is simple, once in the employ of The Company, you must provide ANY items of value within the machine left of the terminal. The assessment button will let you know the current value within, The Company will accept literally any item you can provide. The Submit button will take all the items and update your quota. Once the quota is met, your deadline is extended and your new quota is provided. Failure to meet the deadline on time will have your contract, and your head terminated.
Special Requests: Special requests are a small set of Scavenger Hunt-esque objectives that are offered to you after a specific amount of deadlines have been met. Each one will require you to travel to a far/difficult region and acquire a unique item, return it to the terminal and submit it like you would other items. You are not provided with details of where exactly within these regions that the item is. It is up to you to locate it within the mentioned region.
Completing special requests will extend your deadline by 48 hours, and more importantly, collecting all of the Special Requests will have you rewarded with a promotion of freedom.
Disclaimer: There are no backsies; once you interact with the terminal the scenario will begin.
However there is a 'ending' if you play with the "Special Requests" active, which is on by default
Due to the above I recommend making a save/backup before interacting with the terminal.
Settings
Quota Deadline(24 hours by default): The time you must meet your quota by - can be set up to a max of 168 days
Quota Amount per Deadline (2000 by default): The starting deadline amount
Quota Increase Per Deadline Completion (250 by default): The amount the quota will increase per deadline met.
Special Requests (Default on): Can be toggled on or off (if toggled off, you cannot earn your freedom, becomes an endless mode essentially)
Config
The terminal that begins the quest has a config menu where you can tweak various settings of the mod, but note, once you exit the terminal for the first time, these config menus will no longer be available.
