About this mod

Spam-craft shelves without obliterating your framerate or time (mostly)

Permissions and credits
Some players, like myself, like to grind XP in workshop mode in the early-game to make the early-game parts less tedious and get straight to the action of mid/late game. This, however, comes with a cost. Spamming the interact button to craft shelves, costing me precious time, causing carpal tunnel, and reducing my framerate from the sheer amount of shelves??? Possibly causing crashes???? No thank you!

This vanilla-friendly mod seeks to optimize that experience by, essentially, allowing the creation of shelves in the chemistry station.

TL;DR: There's a new option in the chemistry station that, mathematically, lets you spam-craft shelves much faster than doing so manually.

Here's a breakdown;

There is a new section in the chemistry station, labeled "Shelf Spam Simulation". This will allow you to, essentially, make shelves. The way this is done is by letting you craft 3 steel or wood for the cost of 4, since shelves cost 2 materials to make, and scrap for 1 material, basically making the cost of shelves 1 material if you're scrapping them afterward. It might make zero sense on paper, but trust me, I've done rigorous testing on this and it comes out to the equivalent of repeatedly crafting and scrapping shelves over and over again. This includes any level of intelligence you may have.

The reason it does not cost 2 steel and gives one back is because of how XP works when using a crafting bench. For some reason, you get 50% less XP when crafting at a chem bench versus using workshop mode, so I had to compensate by having the material cost be 4 in the chem bench.

The reason I can't increase the material count to, say, 400 with giving 300 back is because as the number of materials you use increases, the less XP you get for each individual material. So basically you start getting diminishing returns anything higher than a 4/3 ratio.

Happy grinding! Remember to favorite or endorse or something!

If there are any issues, leave a comment and I'll uh.....try and fix it i guess.
