Hold forward into a wall while jumping and uncrouched to try initiate a wall climb, if you reach a ledge, you will enter a temporary ledge grabbing state, you can either press jump to climb or crouch or sprint to exit the ledge grab.
There is also an optional file that adds a slide effect when you crouch while sprinting.

There is also an mcm option to enable these behaviours in 3rd person, but since there is no animations its going to look a bit weird.

If its not working for you and you have all the dependencies, the only thing I can recommend is moving the plugin higher in your load order.
