"The A series is a bit heavier than some of the fancier models, but it won't let you down. I bet you could drop a bomb on one and it would still work. As a matter of fact, I know you could."
While Stanley's anecdote may hold true regarding the F3/NV Pipboy it sure doesn't look like it's the case with Fallout 4's... at least not the screen on the thing.
So I whipped up this screen replacer that gives the Pipboy a thick, chunky glass display with signs of wear such as gouges in the glass and your character's greasy Fancy Lads fingerprints; I made sure it's fully usable and readable though and didn't go overboard with the effects. Also of note is that in 3rd person the Pipboy no longer glows green when you're not using it.
While I designed this for TheFriedturkey's 3000A mod it will work on any Pipboy that uses the vanilla screen textures. It's also compatible with mods that enable full color on the screen.
Installation: Drag the Materials and Textures folders to your Fallout 4's DATA directory Note: "OLDPipBoyScreen_d.dds" is a legacy file from the Xbox version and probably isn't needed but I didn't want to take a chance.
