I can sure with complete assurance after 200 hours of testing that this causes huge problems with Transfer Settlement Blueprints, Workshop Framework and several other mods I use that auto-rewire or place turrets in the game with wires attached from a blueprint or layout. This is not a bug, I know it is my problem with my LO and mods.
I just wanted to post this for other users who are having very sporadic, but repeatable CTDs when using this mod. Also really borks some DLC spotlights when they are in a blueprint or part of a layout being imported or exported. I finally figured it out after 200 hours, so if you get some crashes around your turrets or after importing or setting up a layout this is probably the reason. I imported a Fiddleflaps Vids vanilla mod and after it connected it showed me the turret issues with full CTDs going on. Took out this mod, which I hated to do. No crashes now after 30 more hours.
I know this post is over a year old, but I wanted to say thanks since I am starting a new LO and I have been plagued with crashes in everything I try and I always use this mod because I'm with you, I farking HATE wires! With Switchbox Generator, Wireless Power and this I was able to use/build settlements without wires. But since I'm still not very adept at patching, all my plays would eventually have me rage quitting because I could never pinpoint the odd, random CTDs. So anything that can help me not have them, I'm willing to do. But OMG the wires. Why? WHY? /cries
One of THE best changes to settlement objects I have found. Top 10 mod. Makes everything SO much easier and cleaner; no more crappy wires hanging round every guard tower and along every wall. And it just works. Very much endorsed.
Nice idea, good work; but, could you make a version which removes wiring need, but still need need electricity power which get passivle, just like light. But they only need power without any number. dont know is it possible without CK to do it.
I was using the invulnerable turret mod and had a older version of it, possibly the original, and as you may no a Bethesda update to the game came along and I got ninja'd by it and didn't have my exe backed up or knew of cdante exe backup mod!..
I had three different nexusmods mod folder's across three hard drives from downloaded mods from here from over the years and I began to clean them out, and I had updated my invulnerable turret mod and didn't know it had so many new files to it, and I couldn't get IT to work, so I turned to this mod wanted no power to my turrets!..
I downloaded only the main file of this mod, and I'm unsure of turrets that have there defense increased, the new turrets from invulnerable turret mod caused my game to crash instantly when it's new turrets was plopped in game!..
I might use the console command setav health 5000 well targetting the turret with my cursor if the turret is broken by attacks to many times in my settlements, only using the main file of this mod and removed advance turret's and invulnerable turret mod from my game for now!..
One way to look at the power needs for things like turrets in FO4 and justify not needing power lines would be fusion cores. They are small and realistically things like turrets should not only need lines for power but a fusion core/nuclear battery. Anything in Fo4 really could easily get away with just running standalone with a fusion core battery slot.
Can you make just no need for cables, i would like turrets to take passive power like jukebox. I do not like the idea of completely no power. And the cables look ugly and are not even realistic. Who keeps wires in the air it is obvious you hide cables

Thanks for adding the DLC Spotlight.
