This seems to be a nice setting. My problem is I don't know how to balance it with my enb. Shadows are a bit to dark, and sun lite areas are to bright/washed out. I did drop the #define Gamma setting to 8 for the SweetFX_settings.txt file, which helped.Shadows looked good at 7, but sun lite areas were really bright, and washed out.
Adore this mod, works great with the GRAFIX texture pack which also adds sharpening! A tad bit too dark though, any way you could point me in the direction of the settings I would need to edit to brighten it up a bit?
To make it brighter: - go to SweetFX_settings.txt file located in SweetFX folder - search for #define Gamma - lower the value of #define Gamma from 1.000 to something like 0.900 - the lower the #define Gamma the brighter the image
Are there any other setting that affect brightness? I use Darker Nights and I love the enhancement of this Reshade but it makes the nights pitch black. Way too dark, even with gamma at .500. I would love to use this but being that dark at night is just too much lol.
Here's another way to make nights brighter: - go to SweetFX_settings.txt file located in SweetFX folder - search for #define USE_LIFTGAMMAGAIN - change 0 to 1 - then search for #define RGB_Lift float3(1.100, 1.100, 1.100) - increase these values to float3(1.200, 1.200, 1.200) or more to make nights brighter.
This is a more complicated method and for most people just changing gamma should work.
After 300 Hours of playing this Game i have changed the Reshade "Uber Fidelity" ( also great) with Yours. Def. better Performance with my RIG and really great with "Grafix Text. Mod"! THX from Germany
i know it says it doesnt sacrifice any framrate, but are you sure?, cuz my laptop is a potato and im kinda laggin out, so i want this visual enhancer to work and not causing any low fps, and i just want to make sure, thats all, overall great mod~
Thanks for asking. I tried to make it as light as possible, without using extra anti-aliasing, DoF or any other fancy stuff.
To be exact there is always a performance trade off with any visual mod. But this one is intentionally as light as possible. I would say that the "price" should be LESS than 5 fps, which is definitely better than most mods you can find.
Hi! I just downloaded this mod and tried it out. I have a laptop with a 840m, running full 1080p. I can safely say that I only lost 1 or 2 frames in average from this mod and it looks a lot better than vanilla!
Indeed the difference is not very visible in the pics. But I can assure you it is noticeable in-game. I hope someone can upload a good comparison pic. I will try again.
