In physics, mass is a linear variable of kinetic energy.

How heavy your power armor is? I don't really know for sure. What I know is with its mass, power armor is a LETHAL WEAPON instead of a set of body armor.

Have you ever experienced collision with someone way heavier than you? Well, it is what it is.




Beware of hitting Danse... He is as heavy as we are!

Description

This mod adjusts landing and colliding effect for power armor.
I am not a big fan of power armor, especially I've got everything I wanted for a power armor (for now).
It HAS to be more interesting, or I might only use them for decoration.


1 - Fixing the Landing Detrimental Effect

Originally in vanilla setting, the landing damage does no damage but staging in first impact with neutral actors, and turning them hostile. I have 2 options when I was dealing with this issue.

First, making neutral actors completely unaffected by power armor landing effect;
Or the second, harming them in the first impact for reality concern.

I chose the first option, nobody needs to worry about where to land anymore.

Additionally, I have modified the landing effect as well, the hostiles will be knockdown for a short time if they are standing close enough to your landing zone. Since I don't think anyone is able to keep their balance while a car or a van even a bus has fallen right next to them.



2 - Adjust the Collision Effects

Currently it is only modified under 'Pain Train' perk line. EVERY ranks of 'Pain Train' is able to knockdown your enemies who is not immue to staging effects. However there are now different dynamic value for each rank of the perk, also the damage and duration are vary, which should be expected.

Additionally, I created a 'Pain BUS' effect for people running into a hostile target instead of sprinting, which does the least colliding damage (compare to pain train), and also does the shortest knockdown effect with the least cost of AP. 
*Currently the 'Pain BUS' requires any level of pain train perk to activate.


I don't really expect that colliding with someone running toward me with the weight of his car would be a gentle kiss.


Now let's say it's very efficient for people using melee approach with power armor.



1 + 2 = 3

Nothing stops you from landing exactly on your enemy, as long as there's horizontal vector upon impact, both these effects will be activated. Enjoy!



To do list

1 - Finding proper sound FX for those colliding effects (four in total included one vanilla pain train). Open for suggestion.


2 - Making 'Pain BUS' independent from 'Pain Train' -- Easy enough, yet I want to collect some feedbacks from 'Pain Train' users in current version.


3 - Create a gentle PUSHING effect works non-hostile NPC -- DON'T YOU BLOCK THE DOORWAY ANYMORE!!

Done them all in upcoming version, but does it matter? Most of the people only cares about the title.... Nah. :/
