Basic explanation


Mod date 06/04/2024 - This mod uses the most modern version available of doitsujin DXVK (translation from directx to vulkan) for Windows. 



Can help with both AMD and Nvidia GPUs
It can reduce the frequency of micro stuttering in the game, especially on older cpus (it's not a rule but it's worth testing), modern cpus can have improvements too (your experience in the comments).

I haven't tested it with Fallout 4 VR and I don't intend to.

Make a backup of your ENB settings d3d11.dll and dxgi.dl (This version must have the same problem as the BurnSycleFO4 mod in this aspect)


 Vulkan offers several advantages over DirectX 11, particularly in terms of performance and efficiency. Here are some of the main differences:
Performance:
Better CPU utilization
Vulkan has lower overhead than DirectX 11, meaning less system resources are wasted and more processing power is available for gaming
- can be more efficient in terms of energy consumption
- can manage video memory more efficiently, which can result in fewer crashes and better performance especially at higher resolutions.

Disadvantage:

Compiling the cache can be an initial disadvantage, requiring around 1 minute or less in certain areas for the api cache to be fully loaded, in this scenario it may present crashes, but after full compilation, the game runs smoothly.
