    nice! immersion approved!
to be honest i want to see a mod that's all about gifting the random junk in your inventory, perhaps you get a small boost in your speech when you give some items away, because in this game you collect so much stuff that during the game you have way to damn much stuff and all you can do is store it and use some of it for your gear but the vast majority is just collected and never really anything done with it, maybe some of it could be donated to the city or something maybe it improves the economy or something, maybe there is a donation for the orphanage school in Dimond city, sure you could give them caps, but if you don't have the caps and still want to donate then all of the stuff you collect might be a good gift to some folks, maybe the people in Dimond city would stop being so damn rude to the player, i'm always getting asshole comments from random NPC's in Dimond city all the time with little to nothing to change their behavior, like you want to kill them because you have no other option to interact or have dialogue with them because they are asholes lol.

this is already built in to sim settlements, you can donate junk/caps/weapons/aid to build the economy/welfare/quality of your settlements

i have tried that mod, and it does ok with this mechanic, however i stopped using that mod because it caused way to many issues on my game, there is some serious issues with that mod, i believe it directly has to do with the automated scripts going on all the time even when not using the mechanics the mod comes with, they end up causing all kinds of save bloat the longer you play, i remember it destroying my save game in less than a day of playing it, when without it in your load order, you can play your game for days and days on end without issue.

don't get me wrong, i really do love the idea of Kingath's quest sim settlement mods, but i always run into major issues down the line of playing it, a lot of buggy quests that unfortunately become broken and have to be skipped because the mod comes with to many issues not really worth your time while playing it, i do however like his workshop mod that provides much needed workshop tweaks that no other mod really offers, and i'm not really a big fan of building settlements, because it's very time intensive and it hurts your hands after a while, i really liked his first sim settlements mod when it had the auto build every settlement location in the game, but the issue i found with that one was when the player sent any new NPC's to any of the settlements which there was a script that you couldn't turn off that would automatically update the location and that's when the issues of the script lag and save bloat would start to show.

so i just settled for less because i have a more stable game overall, and there were some really amazing things in his SS2 mod i really liked as well, the settlement NPC side quests really did offer a lot of great gameplay elements outside the main quest in that mod, and it sucks because i can no longer get access to these quests because his mod was a all-in-one package so it's not a feature you could easily take out and play without all the stuff that caused all the issues in the mod.
